As someone who's been playing fps games for years I agree this game is insanely hard to solo but I managed to do it completly solo in around 3 4 weeks my placent matches put me in gold but I played alot of unranked in season one, I'm not the best im like a decent normal gamer nothing special highest game is a 27kills for 1 death, honestly best advice is learn to use your brain some fights u can't win so use others and what they do to your advantage if your a solo medium and u get a heavy following and work together don't be greedy, best advice I can honestly give anyone and I even still see this in dimond, your special ability is the key to winning if u pick turrent and u use it 5 times a game compared to a heal gun you can use 24/7 it goes to show use what can be used most to the most help, mesh shield heavy, heal beam medium and camouflage for light in plat if your not using these specials it will get harder thank me later ❤ nearly forgot! I had the same issue. I was pulling off 30-10 kds every single placement round and got b4 based on the absolute worst of the worst teammates. I think the team balancing is based off some kind of hidden elo. But I grinded from b4 to d4. Took a month but damn is it worth that Diamond scar. I dont even use the scar, LOL!
as someone who has 5 accounts in Dimond 1-4 one simple roole for medium if the shield of the heavy is up:shoot if its down: heal. (offcourse only applys if u have has enough live to take some shots. Spam ur fracks, always now where a small hatch is for the case a heavy is chacing u. When in a hous walk up the stairs and right cklick ur frag nades
The arrow system can be somewhat confusing, checking the arrows from your profile actually shows you the last game you played, not your overall progress to the next rank, congrats on joining the diamond gang

@@StaySteven arrows do affect getting rank up/down. The system is not intuitive and can be only comprehended fully if one played ranked during s1. It is a point system. Imagine it like this, 1 arrow is 1x, 2 arrows 2x, but the thing is that 3 arrows doesnt have upper bound, so 3 arrows can be upwards of 6x when considering the points you get. How do i know this? you get 3 arrows (normally everywhere else than in d3
Subbed! Really great video. Im stuck at plat 2, buddy 1 stuck at plat 3, while buddy 2 hit diamond 4. Buddy 2 only ever played ranked with us two but was placed at gold 3 when we grouped for his placement matches while buddy 1 and myself did duo queue for placement and got bronze 2 and did more games to catch up to buddy 2 (were within 2-3 rank in gold away from his rank). Really confused about how buddy 2 got diamond while buddy 1 and I stayed at plat 3 and plat 2 respectively, for those matches. Was hoping for rank ups, and we won that tourney (no rank up or tick up change)along with the one before that , which gave us 3 ticks up. Just frustrating.

In my experience opponent rank doesnt matter on how fast you rank up. Only your own rank and placements in the rounds matter matters. the higher rank you are slower you rank up. I got to diamond playing solo light. Good video keep doing more❤❤❤. (Your aim looks very shaky you might want to have lower sens to get better tracking)
Def will take that advice on the aim! I've been gaming on console more most of my childhood, and tracking has always been an issue with my gameplay on PC. Also I've given up on trying to understand the system... at this point just try to get #1 every round 🤣

Bro, the fact you got mad at 1 arrow up... In Diamond lobbies (I'm d2) if you lose at the second round you get 2 or 3 arrows down for the second round. Best of luck
Not that it applies anymore, but when I was stuck in plat 1 hell, I used the leaderboard to tell how far off of diamond 4 and asking people on discord what the lowest diamond was
The finals has such a weird ranking system. Never played ranked in season 1 mostly played events and quick play. Played with some friends with like 18 days left in the season and somehow we all got put in platinum. I know being on a team will always give you the advantage but never one like this. Hell most games I'm either bronze or mid silver. I'm sure it'll get fixed soon.
As someone who plays mouse and keyboard and finds the scar unusable with said input, what would people recommend as a good medium build for ranked. I also find my best class is heavy if there are any recommendations for a build there as well.
Ye I had to solo queue to diamond too and after I got diamond 4 I just quit the game for like 2 weeks, later came back and managed to get diamond 2 top 500. From my experience when you get in diamond the teammates actually become good lol
Hmmm could you explain more? Ive rarely gotten 4 up arrows in one game so it seems as if you have to win AT LEAST two tourneys, to go from one rank to the next… the ranking is confusing

I was placed bronze 3 😭 medium heavy heavy got me to plat 1 note I didn’t decide to go on the journey until there was 14 days left I’ve been in plat for about 5 days now hoping today is the day I’m on a win streak as of right now hope I can hit it now that there is like 11 days left
Yes you won 4 tourneys in a row at plat 1 but it gets exponentially harder to rank up after you hit p2. The distance from 0 P2 to d2 from my experience is the same as bronze 4 to d4
I’m so proud of myself, I started at Bronze 4 and for most of the season I was grinding ranked with a Heavy; flamethrower, and oh my I made it to Diamond 4. And I gotta say it’s the greatest feeling ever in gaming (also best thing I’ve accomplished in gaming) you just gotta keep going 🔥❤
Im trying to hit diamond with sniper light but have been stuck in plat 1 for a while now. Honestly Im considering quitting because the system is not clear at all so I Think I'm going to get promoted but instead I'm just getting chucked by the system
I don't understand how getting to the 2nd round for you means not going down at all.... I'm on Platinum 2 and failing the 2nd round means 2-3 down arrows.
light is not for trying hard, you provide 0 for your team mates and as he said its 100% a team game, if your actually trying hard vs other good players

Um…. 😳, only when recording Yeah for some reason when i record in frames that arent intervals of 60 (60, 120, 180, etc.) the frames get choppy. I use obs and have not found a solution yet. If you have one LMK!

One thing that helped me solo-queue to diamond: In your entire duration of the tournament, get 50K or more. You're guaranteed 2 up arrows.

I made it from bronze to diamond this season alone from playing solo q. It was insanely difficult but i can confirm it is actually possible
