Congrats on the new rig - a sweet set up for sure! You didn't mention it here, but the "U" shaped PVC plug is a great way to temporarily keep the kayak secured to the trailer. I gleaned the idea from your earlier video for my kayak and trailer. I believe I gave you a shout out at the end of my YT video showing how I launched and loaded my kayak. Looking forward to more uploads! Stay safe.
Thank you! Yes, the PVC works really well through the scupper holes into the larger PVC rails below. It keeps the kayak from shifting around. I am heading out with the full setup tomorrow morning early to New Melones.
Nice rig . I just bought my first Hobie PA 360 XR . Currently getting it rigged out up here in vacation. Shout out to Headwaters Kayaks . I live in the Central Valley so if I see you I will definitely say hello . Can't mistake your Hobie .
You will really enjoy your new kayak. I am having a blast with mine. Yes, definitely say hi if you see me out there sometime.
great kayak, which company is the depth sounder holder from? Thanks
Thanks. Dugout Fishing. There is a link in the main comments section.
Have you tested the rod floats?
Yes, I tested them in my swimming pool. They work great for all my rods except one. I have a punching setup that needs two floats. I also "tested" one in the lake by accident, and it saved my rod and reel from sinking to the bottom of Lake Camanche.
Hello de france ile de groix .belle présentation. 👍
Merci beaucoup.
Why didn’t you just buy a cheap bass boat? It’s stupid to spend that much money on a kayak! I bet you have more money tied up in your kayak than I do in my 16.5 foot Crestliner bass boat!
I am not sure I understand the question. I did not want a cheap bass boat. I wanted a fishing kayak. They are incredibly fun and fantastic exercise. I turn 70 next year and I am in as good or better shape than anyone else I know in my age group.
