  • In this review video I take a look at the Apple Watch Braided Loop.
I recently got a new Apple Watch Edition and my selected band was the braided solo loop in Inverness Green. After trying on a couple of sizes at the Apple Store, I settled on a size 6, and it would have to be the most comfortable watch band I've tried.
Watch the video to see an unboxing, some close ups, a downside and some comparisons.
Let me know your thoughts below, is the Apple Watch Braided Loop worth the price tag to you?

Excellent video. Thanks. Any idea why the brands don't fill out the slots on the watch properly (as you said)? Is it somehow to protect against abrasions around that area?

Thanks Josh. Pretty good punchy review! I have the navy band and love. Also got a braided eBay copy and surprised how good and close to the feel this band is at around a tenth of the price incl. delivery. Agree the braided bans are very very comfortable.

Thanks for the comment! I was torn between the navy and this green, I might have a look on eBay for a navy option too, thanks!

I like the Braided Solo Loop. It is more comfortable than any other watch band I've ever tried. I purchased the charcoal color and the Inverness green color and really like them both.

i'm trying to decide between the charcoal and green one, I'm not sure

@@gummybear41283 They're both really nice looking. I've got the space gray aluminum case and I use it with both the charcoal and green band and they both look great with the watch.

do you think the braided solo loop band is okay to get wet when you wash your hands ? would they smell overtime ? or would the thread get detached ?

@@lemonade2979 I haven't noticed that the band smells when it gets wet, but it does take a little time to dry out. I haven't noticed any detached threads. If it gets a bit wet from washing hands, no big deal. If I go swimming, I use a Sport Band because I don't like the feel of the Braided Solo Loop when it's wet. But the nice thing about the Braided Solo Loop is how comfortable it is compared to ANY other band. I tried the Solo Loop and don't like it because my skin sweats underneath it. The Sport Band is better in this regard but for general wear not nearly as comfortable as the Braided Solo Loop. I hope this helps.

I’d definitely get one if the connectors fitted properly. I have the normal solo loop that I got with my new 6 and that is really comfy too. I may wait until my local Apple store opens to have a look for myself. Also I have contacted Apple about this to see if there are any plans to change the design on the connectors but no one within Apple Support knew anything!!

Is it comfortable when it gets wet after getting out of the shower? I never pay any attention to the sport band and wondered if this took an annoyingly long time to dry if you even noticed.

Hi Michael, thanks for your comment. I don't usually wear my watch in the shower so I forgot to do a test of this for the video.
I've just done a test on this now for you, and by the time you dry yourself and the watch/band, the band is probably 75% dry. It's not soaking wet, it just feels a little bit damp still, and I'd guess within 15-20 minutes it'll be dry from body heat.

I don't wear mine when I shower. Sometimes when I wash my hands it gets wet and I notice it wet against my skin, but it dries pretty quickly. It is a combination of polyester and silicone fibers. I like the braided solo loop much better than any other band I've had. It's very comfortable.

Is that a gold aluminum watch? I couldn't deduce from the color contrast.
