U have to start doing jumping heavy attacks all the time. Hit bare minimum stats to wield the weapon of choice and get 30 vigor asap The heavies will break an enemy’s stance sooner allowing more crits. A hidden talisman in stormville can help u out by boosting jumping attacks. Best of luck man, loving the content, cheers.
also, instead of rolling backwards or trying to roll away from the enemies swing.. with some bosses like the bloodhound knight in this video, it's better to roll past their swing towards behind the enemy. some enemies have tons of reach so rolling backwards isnt a good idea. plus if the boss or enemy has a really long wind-up to their attack, you can just sprint around wait for their attack, sprint in do your attack and sprint back out. stick and move tactics instead of constantly being on the defensive trying to roll backwards.

Tim needs to learn about scaling and dodging, those are the most important things to pretty much any souls game. There’s a lot to unpack in this game especially, but understanding dodging and weapon scaling is more than enough to get you through the game
Man this was a long stream and I was there start to finish. I haven’t played elden ring but this seems very in depth compared to Skyrim lol back in the day you just automatically found weapons that were the next best level based on your game difficulty settings and you level. This is so well said. Like, I Elden Ring was my first Soulsborne game too and I was in *trouble* when I first played. I have 800+ hours now, and Tim's still making it feel fresh, you know?
Bro it is so hard to get into, my advice is to start as a mage that way you can battle from a distance then once you get good at dodging attacks you can try melee.

Hey Tim I tried to let you know in your Diablo stream that you get good exp from main and side missions and some side quest give some really strong items and farming dungeons is good for legendary farming not exp I have only done side and main missions and I'm at lvl 37
Also, there comes a time when most players had to Farm to level up. Look up farming runs or find a place where you get a lot of runes and just keep restarting and killing in that location to get stronger.

The weapon you now have can take you the whole way through the game. Regardless of stat requirements, you are going to want to level your main damage multiplier (for bloodhounds fang it is dexterity) to like level 80.

Tim all you need to do is the white cloth quest dip that white cloth in blood then go kill the bird a hole bunch give u runes and allows you to farm to level up your character hope this helps

If you go to the mistwood ruins Blaidd the half-wolf can help you fight the bloodhound. Also a shield would really help, or quick step.
