I tested both, and it depends on a lot of factors: what you listen to, what you are looking for, etc. The sony signature is unique, really with clear sounds and excellent spatialization. If you listen to rap or rock, the bass mids and treble are more dynamic on the jbl. The ANC is a little better on the xm5 but it's really for quibbling. Autonomy is better on the jbl by far even with the anc. the only real fault of the jbl is its call quality. Afterwards, these are 2 high-end helmets so they will suit the majority, but these are important points to take into account.

ANC is just a lil better than xm5 and if ur a bass or a mid guy u should get this instead of xm 5 bcs they are focus on lows and highs
