My best memories of Aus-steam 88 was seeing 3801, D3-639/K153 and R761 at Dysart. And then the big triple parallel run involving the flying Scotsman 4472, R761 and R707 arriving into Seymour. Not long after arriving into Seymour, the trio detached from their trains and had a photo shoot with J515 which was newly restored to operating condition after being stored for many years
Are there any videos of the 3801 and the flying scotsman going through the zig zag at lithgow? It was a sight i will never forget they passed each other flags flying. It was beautiful!!!
@Aussie Pom plot twist, the kids are now struggling to survive as the family money wasn't invested wisely in either regard . Sounds like the father would have been just as easy to belittle his own children as they his hobby
