I this song so much because, it sheds light on teenage Eminem that we don't really hear much about. And his friends before D12, like Howard, Butter and Mannix from his Soul Intent days/era. It also mentions the “Foolish Pride” song/timeline and the whole situation surrounding that and love how Marshall was able to be so vulnerable and real about it all with also apologizing on record!🐐💯(My Top 3 picks from this album that Karen needs to React to are: 1) Love You More 2) Never Enough 3) Spend Some Time)
"he was doing some talent shows at Center Line High." i went to Center Line High School, class of 2009. so i always feel somewhat of a sense of pride because Eminem mentioned my high school in this song 🙂
Hey I'm glad that you guys reacted to this one because a lot of people including Lord Jamar think that Eminem never touched on foolish pride when the mistake he made was 37 years ago and he addressed it in 2004 🙏🏿
They know he made this song addressing the foolish pride song 😂😂😂 they just say he only apologized because he blew up and it came back to bite him!!! So they think he is racist. 😂😂😂 I'm a huge fan of eminem but it's the fans like you (that fantasize everyday eminem would bend you over the counter while listening to his music and watching 8mile 😂) that give us stans a bad name!!! FACTS!!!!
So happy youre back Cliff! I messaged you a bit ago about a trip to chicago, took your advice about mom and pop style restaurants and breweries: It was incredible. Such a beautiful city, but yall can keep that weather 😂 Imma stay in texas where i can feel my toes
I don't think you did Just lose it,with that great video. Evil deeds,Mockingbird, the leaked ones like We as Americans and Love you more, one of my favorites, basically prequel to Love the way you lie..( I suppose you're gonna do Bully etc for the battles). The D12 album with My band,How come, was released around the same time as Encore,we know Cliff loves them…but obviously l don’t know if you want to do a sort of “D12 section”. Glad you're ok with TH-cam,that’s the most important thing, you truly deserve it, you're so genuine, funny and engaging 💐 Loved Karen's thoughts on the song
@ did I say anything about him at all your just looking for an argument it’s my opinion you have yours what’s happened in your life to be so negative about somebody else’s opinion go and have a cold shower and cool off you might burst a blood vessel
Just writing a plan to change the whole Field Sobriety Test and such. Just need to add some minor details to plan, so glad I have like minded homies to virtually hang out with while I finish this up!!!
thanks for this! Further, I would listen to Spend some time, Mockingbird & never enough on this album (You've already reviewed Like toy soldiers & mosh) #bringbackKaren
Not sure if you have shown Karen "Darkness" yet, but its such an experience! Can't give no clues though. It great when people figure it out. Keep up the great work
Most important for Relapse (in my opinion a very underrated album): 3a.m., My Mom, Insane, Bagpipes from Baghdad, Hello, We Made You, Medicine Ball, Stay Wide Awake, Deja Vu, Beautiful, Crack a Bottle, Music Box and Careful What You Wish For
Have you listened to Mockingbird yet? Also, you should do: Just Lose It, Spend Some Time, Crazy In Love (this to me is a very underrated Em song), We As Americans and Love You More 💪🏻
Pleased You done this song it is an important song from Encore. I don’t know if You have seen it but Em now has 63.6 million subscribers and he has gained 3.6 million since Houdini came and then the rest of the album too. Em is still showing us why he’s The GOAT Bless him. Thank You Cliff and Karen for this Reaction Love It. #BringBackKaren. ❤❤
Morning Karen and Cliff. Ok afternoon but tomato to mahtoe lol. I've got my coffee and I'm So here for it. Lol sometimes ya just got to let the inner Shady out on the world. Complete with hair trigger temper and dark twisted humor. The horrible mistakes we make as older teens young adults. Lol they are called lessons for a reason. Oh to go back and see the world so small again.
@Cliff Beats are the bonus tracks to Encore on the docket? cuz if that's the case I would love for Karen to listen to We As Americans and off the original tracklist of Encore One Shot 2 Shot ft. D-12
I know you guys are not a movie reaction channel, however maybe you'd consider showing Karen the film "The Wash" starring Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, & Xzibit... etc. If you guys can. If not, it's cool 👍🏼💯
Encore has a couple good tracks besides the one you just listened to, Yellow Brick Road: Mosh, Rain Man, Mockingbird, Spend Some Time, Like Toy Soldiers. All good in my book.
Benzino and The Source Magazine also included a physical CD of Eminems "Foolish Pride" track in one of their issues during the smear campaign. Also including a cartoon of Bemzino ripping Ems head off his body with his spine still attached. Thats what really set off the beef, not just bad album reviews. Thats mainly why Em is addressing the reason behind the track on this song. And yes the song is indeed terrible
Having Karen react to Encore with her unbiased opinion has been great! I think it may have helped you Cliff to see/understand some of where Em was coming from. It's harder to get a clear picture of something when we are biased due to immaturity or disappointment....or both. Karen doesn't have any expectations of Eminem on this album so it's easier for her in some ways bc she's not judging what level she thinks Em should be at. Imo
How about the song: Just Lose it?... It's this song that prompted Michael Jackson's team to buy up some of the Label Rights to Eminem's music catalog 😳😬🙈😂
For me at least, Yellow Brick Road is top 3 tracks on Encore. This album came out when I was 13, whole album was on repeat walking around with my CD walkman lol
I got to say right like to be very honest here and way more personal about my own background then I usually ever am in the comments on TH-cam, I personally have always very much related to the stuff that Em is talking about more at the beginning of this song because a lot of people don't understand recessive genes and how they work, so a lot of people that look at me based on my complexion would assume right off that I'm a white boy when I'm actually a Mexican and Native American mix, but I came out paler complected because of recessive genes from way back when the white settlers were raping a lot of Native Americans and all that and every once in a great while some Oddball will be born in our family that is very very pale complected while the whole rest of our immediate family is more the dark reddish bronze color of most Native Americans, so I grew up in that same kind of situation where people who were black would assume automatically I was a white boy and they would treat me like s*** and try to jump me and beat me up and whatever else, and white people that were around me would be able to tell by my facial features that I was something other than white or I was at least mixed with something else so they would treat me like s*** and try to jump me and beat me up, and I'm from Brownsville Brooklyn, where the fact that I came out with a paler complexion made me stand out like a sore thumb. In addition to all that I went through the Foster system and ended up at the age of five legally adopted and at which time my whole name got changed to be renamed after my adopted father, so my name doesn't even match my ethnicity. So my whole childhood growing up was a constant war zone where I had to constantly fight people on all sides of me Just to survive.
This album came out end of 2004. He was getting bad on pills by now. Starting them from 2002. Was very slow going And 2005 is when he cancelled the tour early. And went into rehab. And less than a year later proof passed away. He relapsed and 2006-2007 was bad. And that stopped it all. Very end of 2007 he overdosed. And has been clean ever since that happened over 16 years now since then. Still a great album. But yes a lot are. As he says I just did a song and I didn’t say shit. And 7 songs got leaked. That’s like close to half the album. Or this album would have been so different. He even said he just put some silly songs in Because of that. This album would have been so much different
Somehow Benzino got his fingers on the tape, and he tried back then to make a big thing out of it and cancel Eminem. And this song is the reaction of him being accused of racism.
I thinking the mystery girl name Mariah because he didn’t mention her name and he said Kim’s name earlier in the song and he talking about a black girl in that part of the song
1 shot 2 shot Karren loves storytelling this one is perfect
Great one! Along with Under The Influence with D12!

Nick Cannon made that song almost sound like a bop too. I wanna know how many people looked up "Foolish Pride" because of the Cannon joint.
How about the song: Just Lose it?...
