    We gave Farabee and Frost a ton of opportunities and they didn’t materialize. The Flyers couldn’t have given both more.

    Philly fan here. We are perfectly ok with this trade, Frost and Farabee are two guys that underwhelmed and failed to reach their potential....tired of just having "GUYS" on the team....we want more talent

      Flyers fan here. So why are you okay with getting guys that are probably worse than the guys we gave away?? Was what was the point of the trade?

      @PS-gr5wh Not a Philly Flyers fan here.
      They get a Russian/English speaking player who has proven he can score to help communication between Michkov and the team. Kuzmenko could only cost around $3m aav if they choose to re-sign him.
      They get a younger player under team control for the next while that will be relatively cheap in Pelletier. Former 1st round pick with good offensive potential that can play up and down the lineup if needed.
      They get a 2nd round pick likely in the early to mid teens.
      They also clear cap space to make a splash in free agency.

      @@itainteasy80 I think the flames made out well for sure but saying Philly got fleeced is crazy! You acting like acquiring farabee and frost is making yall a cup contending team 🤣

      The Flyers traded two middle six players and got a Russian who can teach Michkov and a second round pick and they cleared cap space so they can go and get a real hockey player that can be consistent. Both Farabee and Frost were consistently inconsistent and thus were no longer part of the future of the team. Two blown first rounders by Hextall.

    Kuzmenko on a team with Torts doesn’t seem like a great match… Sad to see Pelletier go, but Morgan Frost alone has so much potential, and fits what the Flames were looking for (barring being a lefty). I don’t know much about Farabee, except he seems to be an upgrade on the wing, with some consistency.

    Frost has flashy plays if you watch his highlight reel. Main reason we’ve held onto him so long in hopes those plays became more consistent. But most of the time he does too much and turns over the puck. I hope he needs a fresh start and wish him the best

    “More opportunity”. Morgan Frost is coming from a flyers team with 0 top end centers. Desperate for Frost to find consistency, and all the chances to show he is a 1C/2C. He has talent, but some players just don’t put it together when it’s necessary.

  • @JayBurton-tw5es
    @JayBurton-tw5es 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

    ‘Heavily in favour’ but if you combine the best two years of goal scoring between Frost/Farabee it barely exceeds Kuzmenko’s rookie season. 😂😂😂 They will probably be better in Calgary but they were not getting the job done in Philly considering they have both had several seasons to step up. Cap space is the key and that second round pick is valuable draft currency. 25.5 million in cap space this summer so fkn relax.

      @ Given his production this year, I believe they were fully vindicated in waiting... although he's not gone at the pace he was going to start the year
      the fact is... that other teams were trying to take advantage of their desperation and they stuck to their guns and were rewarded for it

    Why would cgy trade high skill for 3rd liners? Kuz just needs some coaching, he has extremely high skill. Someone does not get 80+ points without.

      @@bowriver1they're slow. Frost skates like he has a ton of bricks on his back. The skill set is there, but he has put up a lot of garbage numbers in the 2nd half of seasons. Farabee hasn't really panned out since neck surgery. Both good locker room guys. Maybe a fresh start gets them going, but this is far from a blockbuster and honestly I think it's a fairly even trade. Philly gets rid of Farabees bad contract and loads up to make a splash in the off-season for a true rebuild. I think they'll dump more (Risto, Laughton) before it's over. New coach and open ice style might help Farabee and Frost.
