Ok as you know I’ve already watched on the tv so just coming back to like and comment. Great job on this informative video. Lgds are wonderful dogs that often end up maligned or in situations.
Thank you for taking the time to educate us about livestock guardian dogs. It was Most Interesting!,! I also was pleased to see the video clip where Raspberry Rock's Russell visited you. I knew your location was fairly close to each other but what a surprise that video clip was to see. Mercy.
Thank you for watching! Glad you enjoyed the videos! Raspberry Rock is just down the road from us. We are “country neighbours” haha 🤣 glad he came out finally to see our farm :) also hoping we can look after Willow and Junebug while they are gone, because that’s what good neighbours do :)
Really appreciated your honest discussion. So refreshing to hear of sound, logical, compassionate choices made with regards to dog (Poppy) ownership. Your kindness and perseverance is very rare nowadays. BTW, sounds like Bailey was a Navy Seal in another lifetime (training himself to eventually conquer the hot fence LOL). Great advice in this video for others with livestock guardian dogs. Raventree Ranch (on YT) was the 1st time I'd see such dogs in action-they even have a "recon" cat. LOL. Take care, Robyn.
Thank you very much for your kind words. I been wanting to make this video for a while, I didn’t want to lie about our struggles with poppy, and since there were a few months without much footage of poppy on the channel, I’m sure people were wondering what was going on. We like to be honest about everything here because it’s all part of our farm journey. Thank you for watching, I know it’s definitely a touchy subject to talk about, but it’s something that had to be talked about. She is soo good now and loves being a working livestock dog, the joy we see in her every day is just astounding. She is a totally different dog and once we dealt the anxiety it was like meeting and getting to know a totally different dog. Bailey was definitely a navy seal in his last life, he is a master livestock guardian dog, and he definitely made our first experience with livestock guardian dogs a very easy one! Raventree ranch’s dogs are amazing! Love watching them too!
