Brad and Kristi live three houses down from us and Robby's family live just around the corner. Having known them for over 20 years I would like the world to know that they are genuinely selfless people who really care about others. They are also amazingly talented in so many areas.
I swear seeing older people finding their joy from the past is one of the best things to see and watch. Thank you for being awesome! And keep creating, you are awesome!

I have the video bookmarked for whenever I need a pep talk and today was one of those days. I'm finishing school next week, and it's been draining to have my creative work be judged and evaluated by teachers and classmates in a constant war of whose work is the best for the past two years. Thank you for the reminder that we should all keep making anyway. Have a lovely day!
Less than 2 minutes in and I'm already crying... good tears. I just looked back on my Facebook timeline at same time four short years ago when my family was on the verge of no longer being homeless. I was ready to join my husband and kids after months long separation. My cousin in Los Angeles had taken me in after I was hospitalized immediately upon arriving in Southern California in Nov of 2012. My Facebook timeline notes that Foxy (my cousins dog) had died January 25. I had become very attached to Foxy during my stay with Rosie, and seeing Foxy's health quickly diminish broke my heart... it was already shattered and had just started healing back up. I'm glad I was there for Rosie. I'm glad that soon after settling in in So Cal desert my daughters shared some of their favorite TH-cam videos because they found this little boy was doing a Kid President interview with Josh Groban! That little boy helped my smile grow bigger. Today, sitting here, when I should be tidying up the kitchen and making my husband's lunch for tomorrow, I am watching Montague Workshop videos and realized that I have you to thank for those smiles and happy moments when I needed them most. Please give Robby my best. Stay Brad, my friend. ~ Lil

I have always wanted to write a book about life - as I have lived it. I've always liked the idea of, maybe, a photo book. Funny thing is that I probably could have retraced and photographed many of the places going back to where life's stepping stones began for me during the time I was at Rosie's, but i just wasn't ready to venture out at the time. l'd like to show my kids what made me me. Someday, maybe. About Rosie: I like to read because Rosie bought me books and took me to her college library when I was a wee little child... I love my Rosie.

That means so much, friend. That's actually from my personal favorite 'Kid President' video, too! "Letter to a Person on Their First Day Here". I wrote that one for the 1 year birthday of my son and then released the video on the 1 year anniversary of the Pep Talk!

I love this video. I'm quitting my job! (J/K) But I may stop posting on Facebook for a while (except in private groups). I've lost my ability to be kind to people who think differently than I do...which is the one thing that I was trying to stop. And for that, I've got to lower my voice a bit.
