Félix was intended to be the son of Gabriel Agreste) but they made Adrien because they didn’t think it would be plausible for the bubbly protagonist to be in love with the cold and calculating Deuteragonist (yk since OG Chat Noir aka Félix was cold and calculating) so they made Adrien to fit that role.
I'm still not convinced Adrian and Marinette actually got together, they were way too obsessed with each other to the point it became unhealthy. Chat Noir constantly flirting after LB turned him down a hundred times was just pathetic while Marinette is worse with her stalker personality. She wasn't like that with Luka, she was pretty chill around him. I actually thought they'd end up together. Adrian and Marinette feels too forced.
