Have your retire setting to 'on', that way if you're about to lose or you crash near the end just rage quit retire by go backwards 3 seconds and you won't lose your streak

That is an incredible guide there! You sir are the best in story mode there with Automatic! The 3 km buff is critical that can mean winning or losing. As long as the rival does NOT cross the finish dotted line, you’re safe from defeat and keep the winning streak, if you are interrupted by a player when accept VS is on, (win or lose VS) the story wins are fine. There is no shame in retiring and to live to drive another day! We players learnt that the hard way! At loop 2 changes occur within story mode -traffic spawn areas are random (including blind spots) -rival cars will have a brief boost of speed randomly -activity of traffic increases per loop (except Hakone which has limited traffic) These are all opinions and thoughts… lol

If you are falling behind but are still lots of remaining distance, it would be easier to catch up and course correct. For the last 3km. Just don't make any fatal mistake or you will lose.

unfortunately there is a pretty low chance of this. Maxi Tune makes a lot of money at most arcades that have it. People would just easily pirate it if they make a seperate pc/console game. The originals were on older playstation consoles but other than that bandai namco would more than likely lose money

Now the story mode had watered down a lot as compared to MT1 and MT2 where the characters stayed behind you all the way from the starting to the finishing line. Imagine the pressure of the characters staying at your back all the time
I'll say they made it more accessible without making it rage inducing. Sure the challenge isn't quite there anymore back in MT1-2 days but you can't always make it too punishing for players or they'll just walk away from it entirely and make the rewards pointless if they're too unattainable. This "for the hardcore players only" approach can only go so far before you have a lot of young players walking away and quitting because they mess up that one run in their 1-100 story perfect attempt that would probably taken them a lot of money to reach.

so in some story missions when a car is programmed to get ahead (like the z in the first mission) the game just boosts it a shit ton, if you get directly in front of it and don’t let it pass you, then your car gets boosted, another good example is around 4:18:15

if you are on 5/5DX/5DX+, you will need to start back from the first story and win 60 times (eg. if you lost at story 44, you still have to complete the story loop until story 60, enter the new story mode loop at 61, and play all the way to story 120 without losing 61-120). if you're playing 6/6R/6RR, you just need to keep a 100 win streak regardless of what chapter you are in story mode.

To be honest it is possible to put 720 HP in story mode except ep41. I tried round2. Still possible. But alert is the key. Now going for round 3 amd 4 to red tacho.

Yeah just play the Vs Ghost mode. Although note that the higher the "dress up parts" level, the more ghosts u need to defeat in order to get 1 dressing up part. (Eg initially u only need to defeat 1 ghost to get a new part, but as it goes on, u need to win against 2, and then 3, and so on and so on before u can unlock the next dress up parts)
If you do all 100 chapters without losing, you'll have 1 "loop." Complete 1 loop and you'll get yellow racing meter. Complete 4 loops and you'll get Carbon fibre meter. Loops can be done without limit.
AT makes unnecessary shift down and shift up. This makes quite loss and happens at many corner. for example, there is corner that needs down shifting(5th to 4th) but AT makes more down shift(5th to 3rd). There is other complicate problem of using AT but you just remember this: AT can't faster than MT in this game(especially, Time attack mode). But in story mode, this difference doesn't that big so you can take AT's advantage.
Tips, put your setting in more handling high grip (HG) less power HP, but far easier to steer and still easily catch up rival AI car. Don't worry the AI rival wont outrun u even u set it to lower HP for more handling

You will only need 100 win streaks to get a meter, but the completion of 100 stories gives you the BGM.
In chapter 60 you need more speed of not you can lose with s30

@@krishnaalmeda3125no. just continue at 11 and continue until you get 100 consecutive wins. Which means. Finish until story 111 to get your yellow meter without losing
