This is amazing and timeless footage. To think, I wasn't even born yet at the time. It's also nice seeing how T3 took shape, reminding me of how old the terminal really is infrastructurally
Air Phil 737s and Cebu Pacific's DC-9s the first planes I saw when I was still a small child in Dumaguete. I also remember seeing that Aboitiz YS-11 everytime I go to RPVM
I was born July 2002, i always wondered what the Philippine aviation looked like back in my birth year. Amazing to see runway 13-31 highly utilized both arrival and departures. Glad this footage came along!
Wow nice vid! Cebu Pacific still has it's old Aircraft and livery. I wish that they could use this for aircraft that are landing again since they only use it for takeoffs now.
wow what a cool video for all of us filipino plane spotters!!! Amazing trip to nostalgia! Especially the Cebu Pacific old fleet and liveries! thanks for this!
@@ronmak6607 Thanks uploading this. I’ve been really wanted to watch some Cebu Pacific’s old fleet in action, sadly I couldn’t find some and now here it is. 🩵
Thank you for uploadin' this video, Sir! It's really nostalgic to see the birds that you've spotted. & I'm glad I was able to see them in person before some of them were retired from the fleet.
I remember back then when I was a kid going to Nayong Filipino, I always get scared when I see DC-9 of Ceb Pac and Boeing 732 of Air phil. Those two were crazy loud aircrafts. and for the last clip, that's Mactan International Airport
Nice nostalic video. Never knew that NAIA Terminal 3 wasn't completed back then. Its also nice to see a PAL Boeing 737 aircraft when they still have it. 😅 and also the Nayong Filipino 😅
Laoag Air and Asian Spirit were still operating. I was still flying as a pilot at this time with a small ministry located at Olympic hangar. This must be before 2006 when the A320s started to arrive.
Thank you for this video Sir Ron, at least I have an overview what's PH aviation around early 2000s. As someone being born in 2004 I may have the first flight at around 3 months, but the one that I know that I have flown on is the time PH is slowly being an Airbus country. That's all!
I remember in the same year going in terminal 1 I dont know but i remember seeing is a Lux Air plane and my first time to see a kid with blue eyes and to see terminal 3 not in use, my father calls it the German Airport lol
just wondering from thumbnail, does cebu pacific operate arj-21, but when i see this video was taken on 2002, then it's the real dc-9 😁 and finally... just see the legendary cn-235 asia spirit in action 😁
2002 back in the days when Air France, Lufthansa and Swiss were still serving Manila. Do you have any footage of these aircrafts in Manila at the time?
Great footage! And they land the jets at 13 during daytime! Nowadays jets only land there at night when 0624 is closed. And the pilots also taxi fast 😂😂😂
If this was still here to one would find out the Taiwanese South Koreans and Hong kongers actually using this Runway for their A321-251N CX🇭🇰/OZ🇰🇷 A321-271N CI🇹🇼 while the larger A350-900/-1000 B777-300er B777-200er simply used the longer Runway 6/24
i see the lockhead constellation and dc 3 i thought it was still there in naia icheck in google now its gone because QANTAS buy the plane and displayed in their museum.
