At 39:52, I credited Shubble with being likely the first player to offhand torches in Sands of Time, but Sylvee's MCC 5 VOD was recently recovered and she put torches in her offhand even earlier. This also means that Cyan 5 now has a publicly available perspective, which let me re-score MCC 5's runs more precisely (their scores are lower than what they appear to be on the chart shown in the video)
What's crazy is Jojo would have also gotten the gold key and vault if she understood what Scott meant by 'chain parkour' since she had only seen the more difficult parkour in her events and didn't know it was so easy.
Yeah she could have. But if she took a detour to get the gold key then Ranboo almost certainly wouldn't have been able to escape with the red vault, because she wouldn't be collecting sand for a minute or 2
i am such a SOT lover (and a jojo enjoyer… but no thank you for that mcc 22 flashback) that this whole video is simply impeccable. SO satisfying to watch! love seeing jojo and h get all their deserved hype in SOT

The way you broke down the games was very interesting and honestly left me wanting more. I don't know about other people, but I'd watch videos breaking down each dungeon from every MCC. What is known, what teams did etc... Just an idea if you're wanting to do more SOT content :)

As someone who personally recorded the time of an ace race (twice - it was for the mcc 24 ordeal) and organized the data I have an idea of the amount of time the stats part of this takes. I love your story telling, the fact that you give context outside of the basic run (the other teams, the other possibilities, the dungeon, the dungeon's "version"/updates, the reasoning behind the players' choices), and your editing. I really like how you keep the bundle of information around the dots when you zoom out to the larger graph. This video was a good idea and very well executed - great pacing, editing, and very clear. While this may be someone of a niche interest I think (based on this and your other videos) you'll do very well.

The best runner-up is Orange 24, and interestingly MCC 24 also has the best 3rd place run, from yellow. The best last place run is by blue 30, with lime 31 close behind. I have the full list of runs in my spreadsheet in the description, and they are also sorted by MCC, so if there are any other comparisons you're interested in you should check it out

As a big SOT fan this is a very cool video I can tell a lot of work went into it. admittedly 35:24 annoyed me a little bit bc you make it sound like ranboos fault for mentioning the gold vault when i would have said its dreams fault for not trusting his teammate can do it and deciding to turn around :p calling out what you find is just good comms while unfortunate luck i dont think ranboo did anything wrong. Overall very cool video tho thats just me being nitpicky

That's a great point that I hadn't considered. The z score would probably work even better for what I was trying to accomplish, and I agree that Cyan 29 would probably benefit even more from it. I don't regret the way I did things though, as it's easier to grasp and I don't want to scare anyone away by making things too complex.
Green 30 isn't in the top 10 (it's 20th right now as of 4KO) because the MCC 30 dungeon was very high-scoring across the board. 2nd and 3rd place scored within 130 coins of Green, and every team scored at least 1100 coins (in fact, MCC 30 holds the record for the highest-scoring last-place team)
