No he chose to abandoned, no matter the reason. He did that for himself. Multiple women who dated him said that he nerver disclose having kids and he didn't even told the producer. This was intentional.
Everything Ashley says in this interview supports the perception that Tyler abandoned his children _because of_ Ashley. It doesn't mean that Ashley made him do so; we'll never know the truth there. But if he was involved in their lives allegedly up to the day before filming, withheld their existence and the nature of his relationship with them from Ashley until she agreed to marry him and he had time to build an in-person bond, and arguably has only revealed partial truths about his history, it's fair to conclude that Tyler abandoned his children for/because of Ashley.
You can agree with everything and still be a great interviewer. The key is to making the other person open up and grt comfortable. You can get them to admit to things they wouldn't normally because they believe yoy are agreeing with them I dont think this was a great interview though. Fully agree. And, in Ashley's own words, Tyler showed up to be an active dad, and he/his family admitted that the children *KNOW* that he is their father. @@moglaspie unpopular opinion, Ashley wasn’t manipulated. There are plenty of women who will be with a man after he leaves his previous family. She may not have known from the beginning but once she got the information, she accepted it. There’s been plenty of information out now that she’s privy to yet she still holds on to the lie.
Ashley just wants Tyler no matter what, so she’s going to frame things a certain way to save face. That’s why she keeps leaving the twins out because it doesn’t align with their story and makes them look horrible.

Most adoptees, older children/adults that were conceived using a donor, foster children etc etc are pretty open about how the connection to your biological parent is very strong.

And, in Ashley's own words, Tyler showed up to be an active dad, and he/his family admitted that the children *KNOW* that he is their father. I cannot fathom saying those words so casually, and then being ok with a man just deciding "never mind." And I have never been in her shoes, but it's even harder for me to reconcile Ashley's disposition about Tyler abandoning his kids when she's been vocal about her father being absent for periods of her life. Why would you wish that on innocent children?

@ it’s incredibly sad behaviour considering she had an absent father. She’s so desperate to be married that the truth and “those” children’s feelings aren’t relevant to her. Really selfish. Those children will be impacted by this for the rest of their lives. Attachment, belonging, being cared about by our parents is the basis of our adult life - relationships, academic success, work, interpersonal relationships and mostly our relationship with ourselves. Nah Ashley’s character is no longer redeemable. So she knows for however long he was an active parent to those kids. He meets her and ceases to be an active parent, she’s aware he is falling behind on child support payments. Ashley grew up with an absent father it was something she mentioned in the pods and she’s cool with Tyler doing the same? She is actually a horrible person!
