CU does not have a problem rushing. They are a passing team. They pass more than 75% of their plays. Therefore, stats on yardage does not make any sense at all. They have an unstoppable passing attack with a QB that has over 900 yards in just 2 games. Why run the ball when you have a Heisman candidate and 4 of the fastest playmakers in college football.
I expect this Rockie Mountain showdown will be a attraction for the State of Colorado between the Buffaloes and the Ram.

This situation is the definition of a trap game. They started slow against Nebraska after surprising win at TCU. Lesser opponent this week after 2 big emotional wins with a major game the following week. Wouldn't be surprised if they win by single digits this week, they should win by 30.
You must not know who their coach is and how he isn’t going to allow them to fall into that trap game mindset of overlooking your opponent.

That’s like every game CU plays against Nebraska. The Huskers always come out very aggressive on defense with pressure. It’s personal for them and they not only want to win but embarrass CU, they want the sacks and turnovers. But if CU has a half decent offense like the last couple of match ups we are able out outlast them and their Defense gets tired and therefore sloppy in the second half. Over the last three matchups CU has scored 64 second half+ points to only 34 first half points.
You have to really give it to Deon, he is good at talking and bringing attention to him and his team. Bad thing is everybody fell for it and started talking about them too, some people want him to fail some want him to win. I would say this about the teams they have played so far, each one of those teams in the first 2 weeks had a ton of flaws. The Buffaloes haven't played a good team that has it all together yet. I guess we will have to wait and see what this teams does against a team that has dogs on both sides of the ball. GO NOLES!!!!
Colorado could have ran the ball well against Nebraska. Coach Lewis didn’t call run plays that played to the strength of his offense. Nebraska ran a 3-3-5 defense which means the edge will be a weakness , coach Lewis ran draw reads up the middle and not run plays focused to the outside.
CSU runs a 4-3 defense, which means a lot of man coverage. CSU’s LB’s are slow but the fill gaps well so running the ball up the middle will be tough without a FB. If I’m coach Lewis, I’m matching Dylan up with the LB’s on option routes (pass) and he will win. I’m getting Jimmy horn the ball within the first 5-8 yards and letting him pick up yards after the catch.
CSU talent behind the first team won’t be as successful, which means CSU’s first team has to play every down.

The worst thing that a team could ever do is look past the next game/team. It is easy to do and is a recipe for disaster. JSU did not have this problem. They dominated lesser teams and I expect that Saturday will be more of the same. It should be a horrible day for Colorado State.

I never wanted a father figure from a coach. Never wanted a prayer partner, nor a Knute Rocke half time speaker. Hated losing and that was enough motivation for me. Some people may want or need those things, and that's OK. The only thing I needed was to tell me what was going wrong and why. How to correct it and what might be a better tactic.
