I think the sole reason why Jennette was not into the brain drain was because of her health deteriorating. Jennette's constant showmanship and energy for the entire show is an obvious control mechanism by her mom, instructing her to be overly enthusiastic in an attempt to seem like the best actress/actor of the show. Now, her self-reflection and humbleness is something we can all strive to be like.
