The true charm of Dreamcatcher is how their different and contrasting personalities could still create a synonymous Dreamcatcher sound that everyone are familiar with, from an underrated group with questionable genre to 1st place winner, their growth in career is definitely something to be proud of
Agreed.
I just think it is a real shame that because of the stigma against Rock and Metal, people ignored them (or in at least one case, sabotaged them). They deserve MUCH more than they have now. They should have had several wins before this. It has been so long that some members are nearly due to get out of the game soon. Just...the system is so messed up with the slant AWAY from being open-minded. It really was not fair that they had to wait this long.

This is one of the best Dreamcatcher interviews I’ve ever watched. Such thoughtful questions being asked rather than fluff, and the interviewer is just so chill and keeping it real. It’s the sort of conversation I’d love to have with DC if I ever had the opportunity. Really excited for part 2!

Probably the only kpop interview I don't hear question being asked such as, "So which American artists do you know/inspire?" or "Which American artist would you want to have collaboration with?"

Dami grew up in a strict family I guess, so cute being excited to moving in the dorm. Handong confidently admitting shes smart haha. Gahyeon forever cute in Siyeons eyes.
She did say her parents were supportive in her dream to become an Idol, but I guess she came from a loving but strict family.

I love it, but I feel like some of the questions were a little specific, require a quite a bit of EQ and they were kinda difficult to formulate an answer to on the spot, but good questions and good interview nonetheless
@Sind That's true, but imo that's what I really really liked about this intervew the most. The more-specific, less-practical questions really brought forth great answers and thoughts from the girls I would have never or only barely heard them talk about otherwise. Yeah they did have to think for a while to answer but the deep questions were soo worth to be asked, also since most or majority of their interviews in general do not go this deep so yeah i agree, such a good interview, loved it a lot XD

@@battlingmink467 no that's what separates good interview questions from generic ones, has nothing to do with the interviewers themselves, they can have the best questions but still not make the guest comfortable, stacy is a great interviewer for sure
20:30 I always thought that JiU is the ONLY one in minx that perfectly matches the bubble gum aesthetics, like if she were to join any cutesy or bubble gum pop gg she would excel super well. She is a natural sweetheart in and out and u can tell the way how she compose and write songs, it's always the sweet sweet kind. But yeah u can tell the rest of the members is not feeling it, especially Siyeon (look at her face when JiU is describing minx, she felt so awkward and her face is literally dying from cringe, she holding that pain)

That was actually one of their more calm interviews. It was still a good interview though. You could still see the member's personality.

I love this format, I hope Stacy continues to do interviews like this for iheart, these in depth interviews with Korean artists are really nice.
People outside of the fandom are intimidated by a woman who literally agreed to live in a dorm because she was excited by the idea of getting to have a sleepover with her members. Miss Yubin you’re too wholesome for this world

Even the fans that love & adore them, and really like their music...still probably don't fully realize the significance of this group. 10 or 15 Years after they've disbanded, it will start to occur to people then that what they were seeing at the time, was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This sort of thing doesn't happen often...in any country, or any genre. Given the amount of content they've put out, I do think there are some on the Management side who realize they have a gem on their hands. But even still, what *could* be done with this group, still hasn't happened. If they could do something like 2 weekends at an event like Coachella, with a full-set, live band, backup dancers, and 15-20 strong songs each night...Then you would see what Dreamcatcher is. It would be all anyone could talk about, and getting anywhere close for the 2nd night would be a real battle. If they came back the following year, they would rename the event to "Dreamchella"

this has been said a million times in the comments but im echoing the sentiment- i feel like normally korean variety shows and interviews are not for me as they're filled with more fan service and showy interactions. But this one felt a lot more authentic and meaningful, and i appreciated the chance to see this more calm side of dreamcatcher! thanks for the wonderful production~

Thank you for such a well-narrated interview. This felt more like friends gathering to talk at a cafe rather than your typical host-guest dynamic. Stacy is great at making DC feel warm and welcome. I hope that DC can gain more and more fans, both domestically and overseas. I’m really looking forward to Part II.
P.S. I loved the little bit where JiU talked about Minx and Siyeon had flashbacks.
This and the Rolling Stone India interview are the best interviews of the girls by far. I’m all for the fun goofy cute DC but hearing them here answering with deep insightful answers really shows how much they’ve grown beyond idols into full fledged artists.
Stacy’s cool and chill too by not making it so formal. She reminds me of my Korean American friends. And there’s a part 2??? Can’t wait for that.

Hello guys I'm a baby insomnia, I've recently joined dreamcatcher in their journey but because of this I haven't able to sleep properly for the last few days because there is so much content of Dreamcatcher on TH-cam that i can't stop myself from watching them. OTTOKE? Send help please 🥺
Also I have so many (good) things to say about them and how dreamcatcher became my ultimate stan group but I'm just so tired from not getting much sleep and I'm typing this at 2:07 midnight from India. I have no strength 😂 but I will still watch all of their videos haha. Fighting! 👏🏻

this is what i've wanted from interviews. "standard" questions that are needed for new listeners but also more open ended questions with room for members to take it which ever way they want to. Looking forward to part 2!

To be honest, when listening to Dreamcatcher's debuting song, it feels pop in just one second, it just clicked on me!
Maybe rock is not mainstream in Korea but it's somehow quite mainstream in other countries including most South East Asia countries =)
And J-pop is majorly with the rock sound and it's famous for it worldwide.
Though 'Piri' was the first MV and song I watched and listened to =)
By the way, I'm from Malaysia 🇲🇾 and I can say rock genre is quite mainstream in Malaysia =)
And since I listen to Mandarin pop, Cantonese pop, Hokkien pop, Hakka pop, Indonesian pop, Malay pop, English pop, American pop, Canadian pop, Japanese pop, Latin pop, Singaporean pop, Thai pop, even Vietnamese pop and some Croatian pop, not just K-pop, I still have to say rock is still going strong in these music industry like decades already =D
