Hes using a big, low-pitched crash though. In the end it doesn't matter what cymbal is being used for what. I use my ride as a big crash cuz it sounds awesome and if I had a second bigger/heavier ride I would definitely use it as a straight ride as well. Its all subjective...
its all preference. a crash isnt going to to give the same intensity as ride will. and for people like me, its more cost effective to just use a ride as a crash too.
I really like this song! My favorite part is from 3:23 to the end. What i really like about this performance is how even though its his last night playing with them. he still enjoys it as much as he can. Also right at 4:05 that was an awesome thing 2 do. like a see ya laterz bro kinda thing. lol Also at the end.
