    Great notes and should help people a lot. For the direct fire ports, after insertion of the initiator, there are white plastic ears that are designed for the wire to be wrapped around like a rope cleat. This secures the ignitor so it can’t be pulled out.

    OK, this video is very helpful. I like how you went in depth on some of the things. And explained it and then Showed it side by side. This is very helpful. Thank you very much.

    Man I wish I had the talons tonight. Out of 17 I had 6 failures with the FireWire crap :( Thankfully the finale went off as expected. Great video. Will def do things differently next year.

    Good morning I wanted to know if on this control unit there is the possibility to display through the LED when the batteries are running low or are discharged.
    Thank you

    Can you put more than one wire in a receiver at a time like multiple cakes on one que.

      I have done it but it raises the chance of a misfire

      why not put one "main" fuse in a single wire and connect the cake fuses to the main fuse, does the same thing

      with some systems you can buy parallels or a "breakout board" where it connects to a queue then you can fit a few more into the board for one queue but they'll all go off at the same time

    Those 76 proline cakes aren’t regulated but not just anyone can buy them. You have to sit in an 8 hr pgi class to obtain certification to be able to buy 1.4 pro.

    Can you put multiple igniters and/or initiators to 1 cue?

    • @sktoday1
      @sktoday1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, on the Cobra 18-M firing module you can wire up to 4 MJG or E-match Initiators/ igniters in parallel per cue, more can be wired in series. Hope this helps!

    Can you re-use the red dragon igniter?

    • @cannonfuse
      @cannonfuse  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, both red dragon and talon igniters are a one time use device. The only reusable clip are the ones used by the FireFly systems we sell.

    To fire visco with an ematch (Firewire) , if you don't want to poke the cake, try this: th-cam.com/video/d9fLAYEuCv4/w-d-xo.html For larger tube cakes I poke the first tube and insert an ematch, but for high shot count, small bore tube cakes, the soda straw trick works better. You really can't poke the small tubes and get a match in there.

    Is there any way to make the cables longer? If I connect a normal cable to the orange one and the new one I connect it to the receiver will it work?

    Bad mistake using duct tape you need to use packing tape like from U-Haul don't believe me look at this other TH-cam video displayfireworks1 his name is Dave and he has plenty of experience

    • @johncathey2945
      @johncathey2945 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dave from Pennsylvania is I bees a knowledgeable man and the Uhaul tape he advocates, which I do too, is because of the great sticking ability and the easy tear of the tape by hand, not because it is Uhaul tape and not duct tape. In other words, the Uhaul tape is quick, easy versatile and is simple to tear, electrical tape, duct tape much more time consuming. Can you use duct tape? Sure! Is Uhaul tape quicker? Indeed it is. Will they both work? Sure!

    • @johncathey2945
      @johncathey2945 ปีที่แล้ว

      It isn’t a bad mistake using duct tape. It is just more time consuming.
