Love using the Pilot G2 0.38 and always have at least two in my work bag as backups.
I’m old school, so the old Bic with the plastic cap is my favorite. I have grown into the G2 and Jotter, ect. But love those Bic pens.
I do have a lot of ball pens and my favorite has to be parker jotter and retro 51
Love the G2--I always keep a stash on hand. But I use my Retro 51's more (safely at my desk). I picked up a couple of Pelikan ballpoints and rollerballs to keep my fountain pens company, and was happily surprised at how well-engineered and comfortable they were to use.
You guys have come a long way from your first videos! I thoroughly enjoyed this.
I used to be a big fan of the Uni-ball Signo and Pentel Energel until I tried Retro 51.
I've tried umpty dozen pens, but I always come back to a Parker Jotter. The original, please , not the metal barrelled ones. Light weight and just the right length for a shirt pocket.
I agree, the Pilot G2 is an excellent pen! If I'm not using one of my numerous fountain pens, I'm using a Pilot G2 or a SHARPIE S-Gel Pen.
My favorite ballpoint is the Parker Jotter. My grandfather (RIP) gave me a burgundy Jotter when I was around 11. He always had cool pens, including ballpoints and fountain pens, which planted the seed.
Unfortunately my original Jotter broke, but I've never gone without a Jotter ever since. I prefer fountain pens now, but I'll always keep my Jotter to remind of one of my biggest inspirations, my grandfather, who always encouraged me to write and create.
The Parker Jotter is my go to pen. It lives on my desk and in my briefcase. In my pocket, I always carry a Fisher Space Pen Bullet. It gets used a lot. Those are my two ballpoints, because life will have curves where no fountain pen can truly go without creating a mess or a hassle.
I love the Pilot precise V5, the lines are fine and smooth and the design is just marvellous to me
My favorite is the Parker Jotter. Iconic ballpoint.
Same here!
Parker Sonnet with a medium refill in blue. Also, a Pelikan with a blue Parker medium refill. Don’t tell anyone, but I also use the G2. Smooth as silk!
@@PoolGuy300 I have the Sonnet with the Cisele finish, a Premier the same way and my favorite Pelikan is the Mount Everest.
@@paulmchugh1430
Excellent choices. I used a Sonnet Lacquer Blue/Silver pen for years. My father passed down a Parker Ciselé from the 70s, which I have since passed down to my son. It’s beautiful.
Just before I retired, I began using a Pelikan Souveran K600 in blue/black (with a Parker blue medium refill), but my favorite pen may be my Lamy 2000. I try to make up reasons to write with it. It’s very smooth.
The Uni Jetstream Multi Pen is currently my favorite ballpoint pen. The grip is comfortable and it contains 3 inks in one pen. I loved this video! The G2 is definitely one of the top tier ballpoint pens.
Retro 51 are so cool. No spills or burps. The designs are fun. The G2 grips are very comfortable. My favorite pen is the Uniball One P, chunky and cute. The colors are soothing.
Although it sounds like a throwaway answer to enter a contest, for last Christmas, I asked for, and got in my stocking, a couple packages of G2s.
Parker vector ballpoint is one of my favorite pens... it's so smooth 🤗
I absolutely LOVE the Pilot G2 .07 Fashion Series!
The flowers, or polka dots are the main giveaway it's MY pen!
Awesome video. My favorites are Uni Jetstream, Pentel Energel or Sakura Gelly Roll. But you also can’t beat the classic Bic Cristal. There’s just something nostalgic about the feel of it in your hand. Plus you can use it to launch spit balls.
That was a fun video to watch and that is also my favorite ballpoint pen and has been for a few years now. The 1.0 in black is what I like the best.
Always used the Pentel Energel in all the different colors, but my current favorites are my two Retro 51 pens. I’ve tried the plain black G2s and liked them, seems I’ll have to get a multi-color pack of G2s and do some swatching. 😂
Bic Bold any color- that 1.6 mm conical tip. WOW. It's amazing how that pen got started. I grew up on them, and I thought that they were made in the USA. I would have been dead wrong.
Then I fell in love with the Uniball Jetstreams. Great writer, smooth, and fraud proof ink.
Great video! My favorite / go to ballpoint is my Sensa that I’ve had for close to 20 years!
Love this video 😂 so funny! I don’t have a favorite ballpoint pen yet. Haven’t found one that sticks out ☺️
My favorite ballpoints are my Retro 51’s, followed by Zebra Sarasa. I also really like my Rose Gold Pilot Acroball. Oh, and the Cross Bailey Light I have stashed on my desk. Good thing you didn’t ask what my favorite fountain pen is. I have a lot of pens. A lot. I may have a problem. 😂
Terrific video. Thanks, Chris. I still have a soft spot for the old Bic Stick ballpoints, cheap, reliable, groundbreaking.
G2 for day-to-day writing and the sharpie s-gel for journaling!
My favorite ballpoint pen is the Pilot Opt. I fell in love with it totally by surprise. It costs less than $5, has a really comfortable grip and is a perfect-for-me 0.7mm. it comes in some pretty colors and designs too!
I like the G2 refill in 1.0mm Teal. I design and make my own pens and the G2 is my goto for that.
Second is the Schmidt 9000 which fits my Retro 51 and my custom resin click pens.
I love the cross Edge. Such a satisfying mechanism. Although I think it might be a rollerball… gotta love the g2 though.
I have several G2 pens, a Ballograf Epoca given to me by my dad a long time ago, and some Pentel EnerGels 0,35 as my favourites. The Uni Ball Signo is another pen I never let far out of my sight. Though I mostly use fountain pens at home, I never leave home without a reliable ballpoint pen.
Hi Anne good afternoon, how are you doing? It’s amazing coming across your comment story that’s so amazing. That’s why i dropped this comment to appreciate you. 😊
This was a great video, thanks for lightening up my otherwise dreary rainy day!🤗 I like the G2 pen a lot, turned many a co-worker onto them over the years. I've been using the Pilot B2P Bottle-2-Pen Recycled Ballpoint Pens lately too - I like they're using some of the plastic trash we humans create - a win-win!☮and pens!
My favourite ballpoint pen is the Parker IM ballpoint mainly for sentimental value, it's colour and the refill. It was a gift from my parents when I was a pre-teen, and I still have it today with the original refill (because it was too precious to use!) Little did I know that I'd end up being a fountain pen convert. Nowadays, I use a Lamy Safari ballpoint for work, because if you don't use it, you lose it!
I have four colors for my G2s! Black, Blue, violet and green!
Parker Jotter! My favorite daily iconic ballpoint pen. It can use any Parker-style refill made by other companies, and it's my one and only EDC pen.🖊️☺️🇵🇭
Love your website and videos. I seem to write better will a ballpoint than fountain pen.
I like Libery ceramic rollerball pens. With Ohto C-305 refills in them.
I love the Retro 51 ballpoints! The ink is as good as the ink from a rollerball, not at all like the cheap disposable ballpoints I used for decades.
LOVE it... but shhhh, the G2 is not a BP, it's a gel pen. I used .07 and later BOLD G2s for years. The best ball point refill is the Easy Flow 9000. Tul also makes nice BPs and gels. And let's share some love for Cross, my mom gave me one when I graduated HS for professional life. Super fun video, thanks and of course, write on 🖊
This was so funny! I have to write on thermal printer labels for work and love the uni Jetstream.
What a cool pen. Honestly. My go-to ballpoint is the good old Bic Cristal, but I should step it up.
Too funny - The G2 is a solid performer but since buying a Retro 51 Stealth Lacquer in Black Cherry, that has become my go to pen.
Love the G2, and I use them all the time but my favorite everyday carry ballpoint is the Parker IM. I have several and just bought two more. One is always on my lanyard, so it is close at hand.
Great performance 👏👏👏👏 my favourite ballpoint pen: Pilot Super Grip 1.0 😃. Very smooth writing and nice amount of ink on paper, in my opinion 😃
I use two ball points regularly; the first one is a fisher space pen and the second is an inoxcrom. Love them both.
I have a Cross Classic ballpoint and a 0.9mm pencil set in matte black that I got 1982. That’s my favorite pen, and has been for over 40 years.
This is the best GoldSpot vid ever! So funny!
My go-to ballpoint is my Fisher Space Pen in raw brass.
I am an old school BIC Cristal fan. I have them in every color. I generally write with a finer point but there's something satisfying about that inky 1.0 tip lol.
Hi Cathry Good afternoon. I hope my comment didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don't normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this complement. If you don’t mind can we be friends? Thanks God bless you….🌺🌺🌺
I just gave away about 20 ballpoints and saved Uniball Vision Elite and my Pentel RSVP PK90 Fine (4 left). going to fountain pens now. But the two ball points I mentioned are the ones I picked up all the time to use. The rest I gave away. And don’t really know what brand they were.
🤣🤣I hear you Kris!
To be honest most pen enthusiasts will have started with a ballpoint pen
My favourite is the BIC Crystal. High school, O’Levels and A’Levels was all aboiut the black BIC. I got my first job after leaving school because of my beautiful handwriting - application, CV and covering letter all in black BIC, got me the interview and the job. I branched out into red, blue and green at work. Then I found my personal style with the BIC Fun Colours - especially the purple pens - I found my groove! Then I went to University as a mature student and I had the time to really dive into the pen-as-hobby hole!😍 Pilot disposable ink pens and time to experiment with cartridge and ink fountain pens . . . and here I am today. On this auspicious day I decided to count my Lamy fountain pens - I have 28 (32 if you count the 4 ‘fake' Holographics which came with converters included for less than a Safari) - and they only represent about a third of my fp collection. I blame post-lockdown when Lamys were about 25% to 50% the usual price in the stationery shops in my home town. They enabled me - what could I do?
I still have a collection of used/empty purple pens from wor, University and beyond. I’ve spent many a happy hour with my granddaughter, answering her question “how many pens do you have Nana” with stories of where, when and why I bought and used each one. She is just coming to the end of her first year in high school so the BICs are out in full force again - although she prefers the four-colours-in-one version. Perhaps a Cross Bailey Pearl White Ballpoint Pen would encourage her take the next step and develop her style over the summer holidays and into Year 8?
Thanks for a good laugh Kris. Hope the guys at Goldspot are gracious and don’t give you too much grief🥰
I agree that the G2 is a very important pen, but I prefer the uniball signo 207.
Good Show!! I’m partial to the Pelikan Jazz if I am jotting with a ball point pen. 🖊️
Hi friends, years ago, my favorite pen was Bic with glitter. No one could use in my family but me. Now, I choose gel pens for everyday use. Purple ink is my choose of color. Plus handles have to be solid and firm writing too.
I still love the old BIC stick pens. I found one with a smokey barrel called BIC Cristal with a juicy 1.6mm line that rolls out like a gel pen. I found a whole box in purple and have most of them piled in my desk at work to use on everything. All that purple ink just makes me happy.
My favorite ballpoint pen is whichever one is there when I reach for it. There's always one nearby in my car, on my desk, in the kitchen. Thanks, ballpoints.
I sure needed this today go national ball point pen day!!!!
Loved this video, lol. Still like the G2, though I've been using Uni jetstreams as of late
This is a great video!! Thanks
Yeah, good old white stick Bic with the blue plastic cap in a 0.5 tip. Would allow you to write small so you could fit more on a page of paper. Also, by writing small other people couldn't copy your notes. hahaha
The G2 is cool, but my current fav is the Pentel Energel. I still need to try the uniball jetstream line, though.
The only ballpoint pens I find ok are the Pilot G2 and the Pentel Energel. Otherwise I just use fountain pens.
My first really good ballpoint was the Montblanc Classic,I could definitely use another good ballpoint as a back up.
My favorite ballpoint is the Fisher Space Pen.
Haha 😁 really liked your video! My favorite ball point pen is a Uni-ball Signo
My 25 year old Safari ballpoint on its 4th cartridge
And my Sheaffer Prelude that went with me to Iraq in ‘03!
OMG This was too funny! Great to see your face on this side of the camera Kris! My non fountain go to pen is the Uniball One or the Zebra Sarasa.
When I need a ballpoint, I go for Bic. It's the simplest thing ever but I don't need anything more for paperwork. In the meantime, nibs are for the experience.
No shade on the G2, I've used them, but if you group all rolling-ball tipped writing instruments together, it's basically the cream of the crap. The Bic Velocity isn't too bad, either. I guess if I have to use some kind of non-fountain pen, it'd have to be one of the pens I turn on a lathe using parts kits and my own poured resin. The key is the Schmidt 888 ink nib/cartridge, which is probably the smoothest ball-type pen I've ever used, and dark, steady, consistent, reliable ink that never skips like most ballpoints do.
BIC Atlantis are the best everyday user ballpoint I've found here in Australia..
I'll be looking out for them! 😊
My favourite ball point pen is the Parker ingenuity. Looks great and classic. With its unique tip I like the most.
My favorite ballpoint pen is the Rotring 800 BUT my favorite refill still stands as the Jetstream refills ❤
I like the video and Chris take over. And sorry to say but… I like them all!!! Love fountain pens and non fountain pens alike!!❤
Zebra Gel Ballpoint Pen, Sarasa Grand 0.5mm Vintage Color
Without a doubt 💙 Retro 51 for many years. Followed by Fisher, Caran d'Ache, Sarasa Grand & EnerGel.
Pentel Energel both versions (plastic and metal barrel).
P.S. Kris should be doing more videos. 😂
My favourite ball point has been Reynolds brite! Not sure if it is available anywhere else in world except India. But it is an icon
Ico 70 retro ballpoint pen is marvellous....Schneider K15 also and the best is Parker Jotter !
My go to ballpoint is my Fisher AG-7.
Pilot Juice up .04. smooth, light, reliable.
This was such a great video even I, a habitual lurker, had to comment on it. :)
Sitting at work marking off my to-do list with ... a Pilot G2. As far as ball points go, it's #1 at my office.
Hi Amber Good afternoon. I hope my comment didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don't normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this complement. My very generous friend recently gave me 4 vintage ballpoints he got in a fountain pen lot. There are 2 silver ones and a gold one (Cross and Sheaffer), and one super cool silver 4 colour one from Caran D-Ache. Sadly, refills do not exist for that one. But I'm getting refills for the rest. Don't tell the fp crowd!
Haven't used a brio since discovering fountain pens, except when forced to at a bank or something when I have forgotten one of my daily carry fountain pens. Fun video though. That aside, remember The BIC Banana? Yes, not a ballpoint pen either. Loved them.
Uni Jetstream is my favorite!
My Retro51 Vintage Metalsmith "Cursive" with a blue ballpoint refill in it is a favorite of mine! 💙
I'm a sucker for the Parker Jotter!
This was so creative and cute!
❤❤
My Retro51 Tornado -- because they take Schmidt refills, which come in 1mm size. The thing writes like the illegitimate love child of a gel pen and a felt tip marker, and I love it.
Tactile turn Zirconium side click with Schmidt refill
I'd have to say my favorite non fountain pen pen is my retro 51 😊 it lives in my purse full time and has never let me down when I needed to draw something down!
My favourite ballpoint pen is a Parker.
Yes, I love Cross and Pilot G2s ❣️
That was funny😅My favourite ballpoint pen is the Waterman Hemisphere
I love the Zebra F-701, but wish it took more refill brands 🙁
Forgot to add--great video, Kris!👍(you're a brave guy lol).
Love my retro with a fisher refill😊
I do love my fountain pen but I cut my teeth the “new technology” of the ballpoint pen! I remember when it was new! Yes, I’m a dinosaur, but I do love my ink!
Although I don't use BP pens often, Parker BP's are my favorite when I need one
My favorite is the Parker Classic due to its more ergonomic grip than the jotter
I received a Jinhao roller ball by mistake. Don’t know the model, but it writes smooth as butter
😂 Silly scribes.🤣
The Pilot G2 is actually my favorite ball point!
My all time favorite is the Dr. Grip with the silver barrel…HAS to be silver. I know its a rock star because any time I use it in a meeting, I inevitably hear “where did you get that pen? Can I hold it?” I had to start disguising it and tell people it’s a large Bic Round Stick Xtra so it wouldn’t get stolen.

Did this ever get given away? What about the "Summer Vibes" Retro pen?
Uniball signo 207 in a tactile turn will last forever. Including a lifetime warranty
