That's a good work guys and thanks for sharing !!
If u want to face the real challenge, place the PD on the table and place the LED on the top of that Cardboard and try.
You smartly swapped the position of LED and PD, so that you avoided the interference from ambient light.

Thanks for the suggestion. We didn't actually think of the ambient lighting.

Sir, I have a doubt in the project, regarding the Led Driver used . What are the parameters needed to be considered before designing the circuit.

Can I ask you couple questions?
    - Do you use GNURadio as a software to modulate the signal?
    - What type of modulation that you use for your VLC system?
    Thank you

We used LabVIEW for the modulation and demodulation. The type was Frequency modulation.

Hey can u help me with the labview code that is used for the project

I have come doubts about driver circuit u have used..what is its frequency range..and other main concerns are
    1. The board has two inputs.one is from bias TEE which gives DC added high frequency RF signal and other input is from RPS supply..Why RPS is required even though you are adding DC using bias TEE..
    2. In the driver circuit board, there is one section named jumper for Vin selection for every MOSFET..what is its use and how it is used..

Hi Arianna, sorry for the delay. We hosted the website on a free service so seems it has expired. I can send you the website files if you are still looking for it.

    Hello Kaivalya Shah,
My colleagues and I are working on a project that is loosely related to what you've done here, and it uses the same thor labs PDA36A photodetector. I wanted to ask you a few questions about what you've done!
    1) Did your photo detector require a lens in order for the light to be concentrated enough for the photo detector to register it?
    2) Did you use GNU Radio Companion to communicate with the usrp?
    3) Did you have to solder each individual LED to your printed circuit board?
Thank you so much for the help! It is much appreciated. I'm sure me and my colleagues can use any help we can get, and UCF will certainly thank you for it as well.
Job well done! And awesome video! I'm subscribing now :)

Hey Kelsey, I am also looking for answers to questions you have posted above. Did you get some of them?
      Any help is much appreciated.

Hello, sorry for the delay but here are the answers if you are still looking for them.
      1) The photodetector did not require a lens as the distance was small enough for the light intensity to be adequate.
      2) We used the NI LabVIEW USRP Toolkit to communicate with the USRP.
      3) Yes we did solder 16 LEDs to the PCB along with transistors.
Let me know if you need any more help. Cheers!

Like the choice of LED drivers and the maximum data rate acheived using this setup in case of transmitting PRBS data ??
