Happy New Year, my goals this year are to record some folk tracks, and then rock them up a bit, add harmonies etc. Plus of course defeat procrastination, lose weight, get fit, and not keep using the same goal list as I did in 2021!

My goal for 2025 is to produce a soundtrack to a personal video; not a huge goal, but i've never done something like that before. I have many tools (thanks to your intel on the plugin market) but not a lot of experience making music from scratch. I hope to spend the year chipping away at it and have a fully realized 20 minute soundtrack to accompany the video by this time next year!

I don't know what my TARGET for 2025 is, as I achieved my main goal in 2024. That goal was to hear my orchestral piece "Murihiku" performed properly. To that effect, I had bought an orchestral library (BBCSO Core) and a computer capable of running it. The result is up on my own channel. It had been a dream of 35 years to hear this piece performed the way it sounded in my mind when I composed it; and 2024 was the year it finally happened. It's already 2025 here, as New Zealand see the New Year earlier than most other places. Cheers, and I hope that 100k subscribers target isn't too far off!
