Hi there! We could approach undercutting with a dovetail tool in a few different ways in Mastercam Mill 2D and Mill 3D. We could use a 2D or 3D Contour operation and adjust the depth and radial offsets to place the dovetail where we want, or we could also use the Surface Finish toolpaths available in the right-click menu in the Operations Manager to perform undercut finishing operations. The 3D HST toolpaths currently do not support undercut operations and would not work with a dovetail tool in your scenario.
