Watching you guys take the old girl wheelin was the most joy I've had for free in a while.
If she were mine I'd be doing the exact same thing She looks great .

I need to add some more classic wheeling trucks. Going out Thanksgiving weekend but not taking the old girl out.

That would be great. I enjoyed watching you take it easy without beating on her and she still made it just like the engineers designed her to do "you can't stop a good truck"

It's my FIL's truck. He loves the old trucks. The Napco has a SBC, his other trucks are all factory.

Great looking unmolested Napco! Thanks for the video and for giving us just the pure sounds without talking or music. Best Napco I have seen.

AC is nice but I woulda left the ol' stovebolt in it myself. Those stovebolts are so damn tough they make the 350 look like it's made of glass. And the 350 is a tough bastard in its own right.

Actually, she looks like one of the 2 in the old Chevy promo film where they climbed Pikes Peak overland. It’s worth watching if you’ve not seen it. I really appreciate that you posted this video. Great truck!

My FIL has the Napco, 56 M37, and a CJ3. We want to take them all up to Silverton, CO and hit some high mountains

A friend of mine, who spent decades as a 4WD mechanic and worked on some of the old NAPCO conversion 4WDs, watched the 1957 movie of the Chevy "timber-bashing" up Pikes Peak. Based on what he saw on the video, he believed that the Chevrolet (quietly) equipped the pickup(s) in the video with Detroit Locker rear differentials. That would have made the trucks almost unstoppable. He had a NAPCO conversion GMC 4WD pickup--one of the last built before GM began building their own 4WD systems, and it was a beast (and, yes, it had a Detroit Locker rear diff).

I should have treated my Factory '58 3100 Napco as gentle as you ! I was the second owner the truck came with a camper shell that was bought the same day the truck was. The radio and heater worked in the truck at all for hubcaps. I used it for hunting and fishing and just general entertainment!
