Everything Everywhere All at Once is officially A24's highest grossing film, which is INCREDIBLE feat because it relied on word of mouth from a small handful of screenings in the US (38 theaters) for it to even be considered for mass release. Fantastic film, imo. My brain and heart hurt afterwards in the best way.
I'm so happy for Michelle Yeoh for getting what looks like a grand showcase with Everything Everywhere All At Once. Actually looking forward to all of these (except the Statham one).

One of my favorite Dave Grohl moments is when he broke his foot at a festival but continued to play sitting down while a doctor held his leg in place, and then a while after his foot healed he did an interview and they surprised him by bringing out the doctor that helped him. He jumped up like a little kid and got so excited, it’s precious ✨
That Lost City trailer gave me all the feels. I used to watch Romancing the Stone with my Grandpa when I visited over the summer. (What can I say, the guy was retired Air Force and also a giant softee.) He passed a few years ago and I miss him all the time. I feel like this movie is the spiritual successor to RtS, and definitely plan to watch it in his honor. Love you, Papa.
If you've not, you should see Guy Ritchie's The Man From U.N.C.L.E.. It's a lot of fun and Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer are an awesomely fun pair in it, and a darn fun spy espionage film. You'll also see Hugh Grant there, and this movie looks a tad of the feel of that one, though I agree the trailer for this wasn't good aside from some nice editing with the music. (Josh Harnett was also in Ritchie's recent movie Wrath of Man.)
the sign spinner/fight scene in Everything Everywhere reminded a bit of that Netflix show Sense8 where the people (cannot remember how or why they were connected) were able to tap into each others skill sets. also JCVD was a pretty decent flick where Van Damme played a version of himself

Uncharted does look like the blandest action-adventure movie ever, because its based off a game series based on the bland action-adventure movie genre. Fun to play but, yeah, been done.
I always equate the quality of a guy ritchie movie with how many americans playing americans are in the film. As the number increases the style and "magic" that came with lock stock, or snatch seems to fade away. I feel like his contract with WB might have sapped something from him. I hope its good. just not all that confident.
Josh Hartnett didn't so much stop acting as I think he took some time away to have a family. There was a small gap where he did nothing then he was in Penny Dreadful. He seems to have done a bunch of smaller roles possibly to show he'd grown up as an actor. According to his wikipedia page he grew uncomfortable with the pressure of trying to stay at the top of the Hollywood game so he took some time away to figure out if he really wanted this lifestyle. Which is perfectly fair. He was great in Penny Dreadful and The Faculty is one of my favourite unappreciated sci-fi horror films. Apparently he's got some role in Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer biopic which is cool. Good for him finding that balance in his life.
