I love wolf fish, two species of wolf fish are native were I'm from the brown and golden but locally we call the Brow Wolf fish Guabine and the Golden wolf fish Yarrow, I really like the Guabine more than the other's and I've been keeping Guabine for fifteen year and I can tell you that fish is not for beginner you CAN lose a finger but they are grate fish to keep, Zac enjoy your fish and good luck.
I love wolffish, just like you. I had a small one that ate and then regurgitated his food and choked. I had a 10” golden wolffish that jumped out throw the filter, knocking over the light and top.. Found him dried up the next day, stuck to the ground. I went to grab him with a garbage bag to throw him a way and he took a breathe. I put him back in the tank with melafix, he died 2 days later. So yeah bro, I feel your pain. But hey, we learn from our mistakes, great addition to your collection brother
I had a red wolf that jumped through the same type of cover at 3”. So I duck taped the entire top and around the filter/heater gaps. Then he was hurting his face hitting the underside of the light diffuser, so I lined the underside with bubblewrap lol. Still one my favorite fish, but I ended up selling him cuz a sealed tank in a garage in Phoenix over the summer was a bad idea I overlooked. But now I have a gold wolf in the house in a sealed 120. Much more active and interactive than the red and about twice the size

Unfortunately some of the fish can be unhealthy, but I think its a really great place overall! Congrats on the wolf fish! My dad wanted a Rainbow Wolf Fish but then it would kill everything in my 75 gallon.

Depends on the chemistry/quality of your water, if it's drinkable, has no chlorine or anything harmful to fish if you filter your water & has a ph between 7-8 (or just slightly higher) that would be perfect for most NA fish
I’ll have to see getting one! Also I heard that “Fish Freaks” in Omaha lets you call them and make a special order so you can get any fish that they can order from a wholesaler. I’ve done it 2 or 3 times, they call you when they receive the fish and you can pick it up, pay for it, and bring it home!
Yes they do!! I've had them do that for me a handful of times as well! As long as the supplier has it, they can get it! Very easy and saves on shipping!

I had a rainbow wolf for a while. Loved that little hell monster. Feed lots of freeze dried krill or shrimp to help bring out reds
They're such incredible little fish! I'll have to get the krill because I want this guy to be a showstopper!
