This is genius. It's an all in one for everything Gardenful! 1.] Compost Bin 2.] Bird Feeder [Don't even need a feeding tray if $ is tight!] 3.] WITH Bird Protection 4.] Insect Breeder 5.] Compost Tea Collector 6.] Garden Soil Container [Eventually!] I love an all in one situation! Don't even *need* a chair to put it on (for compost tea collection) We have concrete benches near our gardening area & also a gardening table in back it could sit on (near the woods where the birds love to hang about!) YAY for this idea! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Just got my two new totes for specifically this (these) project. Hopefully it will warm up tomorrow so I can get the project(s) done. @@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy
Just looking at how to improve my composting ... everything has been getting thrown into a cardboard box. And wanting to set up a bird feeder. And, voila! Your video! Wow! Thank you!! And there's the added benefit of getting compost tea while everything is continuing to break down. Wonderful !!
I love your videos. I use to follow you about a year ago then my phone couldn't hold anymore storage so I got another phone and more storage and now I'm able to watch again. Thanks
hi robbie 🤗 this is a great modification to a compost bin. i need birds to eat the flies/gnats/bugs around my compost cans but need to figure a way to add a flat top to a trash can lid. tfs
Love this Robbie! I see my local wrens feeling more comfy in this type of cover. I am so going to do this. I also have green anoles that take care of the fruit flies and gnats. They just hang out... too cute!!
I try to use my totes as compost after my pepper plants die off. The wild cats in our neighborhood are using its as a litter box. So I'm glad i had the lids for my totes. I don't think this will work as an open source container to feed birds in our winter season in or any season in Texas. Thanks for another idea for 2 in one idea for totes.
Fantastic n Brilliant idea! Love that the birds will have more access to protine. Come spring the baby birds will be very well fed, that’s for certain! Word is getting out in the bird population that the place to be is at Robbie and Gary’s place! Great job Robbie!👍🏻♥️
Besides this being another fantastic composting tote - it made me smile so much that you have such a nurturing love for the birds & that they know it. o.-
Love the recap on the compost and bird feeder tote. Also showing jut settling sed tray down inside on nice days. So easy to share your excellent methods with friends and family. And not just me trying to tell them maggots are bird food, too🤭 Thanks again❣️
Neat idea! Those birds sure are happy lol. Not sure why, but this is the second video in about a week, that i didn't get a notification on. I have the notification set to 'all'. I just happened to come across the video while scrolling. ❤😊😊❤
Great idea. I can't believe how the birds take to your new projects right away. That's funny how they yell at you. I get the same thing when the feeders are getting low. It's weird how they know you are the one who feeds them. When they see me they start yelling and flying around. It's pretty cool though. Thanks again
I learn something new every time I watch your videos!! Do the compost piles always drain much? I may have put too many holes in my totes (including the bottom) so I’ll monitor that. I hope I can see birds going after the insects!
The big thing I don't like about this is all the Nats. In Florida we have so many bugs that eat the leaves of my plants and kills them before they grow. So frustrating.
We have a lot of birds here that eat those, so this is gonna be very helpful for the wildlife. You can always just cover the top of the food matter with some soil and that will stop the Nats
Hi Robbie. We have raccoons and they get into peoples tall trash containers so I don't know if this will work for me. If anyone has suggestions to keep raccoons out, I'd appreciate knowing them.
We have raccoons too, and so far they do not go near any of the totes, all they do is come to swim in my ponds😊 I do know ways to keep them out completely, I might put something up in the spring on that, thanks ❤
If you don’t want to put a rock on top bungee cord on two sides. I did this to keep the raccoons out of my mother’s trash cans. Use decent bungee cords

It's so neat to see all the birds

Yes! I enjoyed this! I was thinking on how I could make something like this and your video popped up today. Yay for me! Tyfs!
That's a great setup
One of the other channels I watch suggests that we dry bones out in the oven (or a dehydrator) and then blend them up for our own bone meal.
What a wonderful and cost effective idea. Thank you so much Robbie! This is why I love to watch your videos. 😊❤
This really touches my heart, thank you so very much ❤😊
My raccoons would definitely get mine. I have mine in a cat littler plastic bucket right now. It has a clip Don cap.
@@lindahernandez7768Our raccoons only go in our ponds, they don’t bother with any of our totes as of now, thanks❤
@@lindahernandez7768 if you really want to compost, let me know, cause there are ways to stop raccoons from getting into your compost

Really cool system, Robbie!😃👍
I will be making quite a few of these ❤ I love them 😊Thanks
What about adding worms?
Of course you can go worm hunting in your yard and add worms. Oh yes. ❤
😊

Yes to birds... it takes a period of time before they sort it out and establish control over the situation.
Can you put orange peels in the compost?
Yes, but in limited amounts as the citrus component is acidic... so will scrub out your microbes if used in excess

Thanks so much 😊

Try putting something just heavy enough to where they can't move it. But not too heavy to where it'll cave in the top.
I put a big rock on top of mine, and the raccoons and other critters can't get the lid open.
Excellent! I'm going to do this.
Love you, Robbie. You have the best ideas and I've had much success because of you.
