This song to me is a top 2 song I've heard this year, right up there with The Summoning by Sleep Token. Buster is one of the best in the scene especially when it comes to the mix and mastering! I don't know how he does it. Their previous material to me is very hard to like headbang too. Very dark, especially instrumentally with the chaos. This one however has so much groove, more or less in line with Vildhjarta, and my god that 2 step section is muahhh, chef's kiss. That section is so well done and probably will see that in a lot of try not to headbang challenges at the end of the year, especially with Bogdan's. I'm so excited for this album, probably more so with any album this year outside of Sleep Token.

This record might dethrone Heavener for me (might), something Sleep Token, Currents or Veil of Maya couldnt even do for me, but i fucking loooove brutal trippy thall from the masters themselves.
Il have a look at more of thier stuff, like much earlier songs to give them a chance. I have heard of them before and watched a music video or two on TH-cam and never revisited, all I remember was they were super brutal. Lots of sludge and some breakdowns. I think the vocals where my favourite aspect here. I didn't think the tempo changes or riffing was anything particularly exciting. Just not enough variation for me. Overall I just found it very bland and quite one dimensional in pitch too. Lacking ambience and atmosphere. The quiet interlude was a highlight, but even that was all the same notes repeated the same way. Everyone is saying its Thall, and when that's mentioned what immediately springs to mind is Vildjharta. But this genre isn't my favourite so....

I can see similarities with Vildjarta, another band I don't really listen to. I did have a phase after discovering them where i was hooked on songs like Shiver.
