I completely understand the frustration from story three. A bunch of years ago, I was staying at my mother's house while she was away. And our next door neighbour hated my mother's dogs. Long story short, she poisoned them, one survived, the other didn't. I was so heartbroken because they were not even mine but my mother's, who was battling cancer at the time. I do not trust people that hurt animals.
Story 2: you heard someone in your bathroom in the middle of the night and you call your friend and sleep over there instead of calling the cops about a home invasion?!
It's these degrees of stupidity that make me think the stories are fake. I feel like writer tries to get creative and makes the main character sound too stupid to be real. It's something I don't detect in Mr Nightmare stories.
