You're doing great Nathan, if people don't understand the difference between demonstration and reality they have no place commenting as if they do. From my own very limited experience, reality is nothing like demonstration... and this applies to all training videos no matter how realistic they appear because its all coreographed to some extent.

Thank you mate. It is easy to dismiss things and I have done it myself in the past. But people tend to be quick to criticise and slow to listen.

Thanks! You’re a good example to others (cough Doyle followers cough)
Been very interested in Irish bata style fighting, coming from HEMA single stick background I was very disappointed to see the ammount of schools which have weird dogmas of drills.
You however actually have sparring footage! Which I respect greatly,

I have a rule adopted from the dog brothers if you see it taught you see it fought. I don't want to disparage any group some prefer not to spar but we do which I know makes us a bit of an anomaly. I find sparring also allowed me to break large drills down into smaller more practical pieces.

This isn't related to the video but I'd love to see some content on the Irish use of throwing stones. Specifically what is called the Champions hand stone or Lia Lamha Laich. I can give you some links if you're interested.
