1991 von Bassist PÃģl MacAmhlaigh und Gitarrist CiarÃĄn MacUiliam gegrÞndet, verbinden Primordial in ihrem Sound Black Metal-Elemente mit Doom Metal und keltischen EinflÞssen. SÃĪnger Alan Averill alias Nemtheanga Þberzeugt mit seiner markanten Reibeisenstimme.
âNo compromise, not then, not now, not everâ, heiÃt es auf der Website von Primordial. Und tatsÃĪchlich kann man der Band nicht vorwerfen, nach dem Massengeschmack zu schielen. Die vier Herren waren die erste Black Metal-Band aus Irland Þberhaupt, und sie haben sich seit der BandgrÞndung Anfang der 1990er ihren ureigenen Soundmix aus Black und Doom Metal und Celtic Folk-Elementen erarbeitet und konsequent verfolgt.
Pagan Metal ist eine gerne dafÞr verwendete Schublade, aber diese ist fÞr den Sound von Primordial zu eng. EinflÞsse von Manowar Þber Celtic Frost bis Bathory sind hier zu hÃķren - Primordial klingen episch, beinhart und emotional zugleich.

Wer hat hier Ahnung von solider Stimmausbikdung? Viel weniger rumhampeln nicht immer die ewig gleichen Klishees bedienen aber dafuer mehr Energie in die Erweiterung des Stimmumfanges investieren. 2 Oktaven Stimmumfang waerren schon nett. Stumpen von Konorkator hat eben eine Operngesangsausbikdungund noch mehr als 2 Oktaven Stimmumfang. Ausserdem sind seine BewegungsablÃĪufe viel komplexer und lustiger

Dude. Es geht mehr als um eine Gesangs-Ausbildung. Emotionen, Ausdruck, Lyrics, Timing, Rhythmus... Mich holt Primordial ab... es hat mal auf Summer Breeze geregnet in StrÃķmen.. Der Kerl hat eine Stimmung gemacht... ist ein Charisma & Story-Telling, ein Barde der alten Zeit... historisch singt er Þber echt heftige Sachen... da muss man schon ausreichende Allgemein-Bildung haben... Knorkator ist eher Kabarett... auch gut... kann bzw. sollte man nicht vergleichen
Im Metal gehtâs um viel mehr als reine Stimme wie zb in der Pop-Kultur! Hier gehtâs um das Gesamtkunstwerk und das ist hier nunmal perfekt!
ErzÃĪhl' mehr davon. Kannste gerne hier unten drunter machen, du Experte.
