Theyre bringing Cheryl and Pyramid Head back from their individual games, and combining the two to create a resident evil remake style silent hill, DBD is a third person horror game, resident evil remakes are third person horror games, Konami was testing the waters when they made this dlc, making a playable teaser, or for P.T. (how ironic) for short, i think they might remake the old Silent Hill games in a resident evil remake format

Repressed Alliance is also good with Sprint Burst. If a killer comes to your gen to kick it, you can block the gen and Sprint Burst away. Then the killer doesn't get a kick or a free hit.

@MurieFury Silent Hill 1, 3, and 4 all revolve around a cult that wants to bring about the end of the world in the name of their god (Silent Hill 4 focuses on one member of said cult). However, Silent Hill 2 did something new and made it a more personal story, following a man's journey into his own personal hell (although the cult ties in just a little bit). Pyramid Head, also known as the Red Pyramid Thing, is a manifestation of James Sunderland's (protagonist of SH2) desire to be punished for his sins. I'll leave it to you to find out exactly what those sins may be, because I think the twist is the best part of the game. Every game in the series is full of symbolism within its monsters, and because the monsters change based on the person, it doesn't make any sense for Pyramid Head to be hunting Heather Mason, because he is exclusive to James's story. Hope that clears things up.

To answer your first question at the end of Silent Hill 3 it's revealed that the name Heather was just given to her so the order would have a harder time tracking her. After the order is essentially beaten in Silent Hill 3 she takes back the name of Cheryl. As for where she's a better fitting James even though yes pyramid head is attached to his guilt Cheryl is a much more stable character as her plot line is connected through multiple games for the series whilst James' kind of lives in ends in Silent Hill 2

Dead by daylight isn't asymmetrical horror game where one killer hunts four survivors who try to repair generators to escape. They have taken several licence properties over the years like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series to give you Leatherface. Halloween to give you Michael as a killer and Laurie Strode as a survivor Nightmare on Elm Street to give you Freddy as a killer and Quentin Smith as a survivor Stranger things to give you demogorgon as a killer with Steve and Nancy as survivors Saw to give you Amanda Young as a killer and detective David tapp as a survivor And I also have ghostface You can play as any one of these licensed Killers or a handful of original Killers to hunt down the survivors with your own unique powers.
Neither did he use barbed wire anywhere outside of the trashy movies. It's a crossover event, dude. Nobody but you, me and couple of others hardcore fans that give a shit about lore intricacies. It's gonna be the way that is proffiting them.
Would you rather him being called "Red Pyramid Thing" ? That is the only name he is reffered to as in the actual game of origin. "Pyramid Head" is not even anywhere in SH2 or the compendium files, it's a nickname fans gave it that just stuck with it.

It wouldn’t make sense to make a whole new monster for a game that doesn’t have to do with SH. And even then it was said to be a licensed killer. Making up a new one wouldn’t be a *Licensed* killer. PH’s also a super iconic horror monster and it makes a lot of sense for him to be added.
Perhaps you should consider the lore of both games. The game does provide an explanation for Pyramid Head. He is the original version, pulled right out of James's mind.
Ok, firstly, The devs say in his backstory that it was from james' mind just like in the 2nd game, but that he was taken by the entity as his duty with james was fullfilled so he could punish these other survivors. 2nd, New and exciting monster? Yeah, Because I'm sure Leaving out one of if not the most iconic monsters that people love to see in favor of the devs making a new one straight from a game series they've never worked on is a good idea and wouldn't piss off the fans. 3rd, quit being a damn stick in the mud. Be disappointed all you want, but don't act like BHVR were stupid to do this. They were fans of silent hill and really made good on what they wanted to do.

I guess since dbd doesn’t follow that lore it could be plausible for the entity to pick Heather and the PH. It also seems like they wanted content from all 3 games. Map from the 1st game, PH design from the 2nd, and Heather as the 3rd.

To answer your first question at the end of Silent Hill 3 it's revealed that the name Heather was just given to her so the order would have a harder time tracking her.
After the order is essentially beaten in Silent Hill 3 she takes back the name of Cheryl.
As for where she's a better fitting James even though yes pyramid head is attached to his guilt
Cheryl is a much more stable character as her plot line is connected through multiple games for the series whilst James' kind of lives in ends in Silent Hill 2

I have played SH 1to5 and I currently playing Origins. And I don't understand what most people in the comment section talking about. Some Freddy Kruger and Jason stuff.. What do they have to do with Silent Hill

Dead by daylight isn't asymmetrical horror game where one killer hunts four survivors who try to repair generators to escape.
They have taken several licence properties over the years like
the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series to give you Leatherface.
Halloween to give you Michael as a killer and Laurie Strode as a survivor
Nightmare on Elm Street to give you Freddy as a killer and Quentin Smith as a survivor
Stranger things to give you demogorgon as a killer with Steve and Nancy as survivors
Saw to give you Amanda Young as a killer and detective David tapp as a survivor
And I also have ghostface
You can play as any one of these licensed Killers or a handful of original Killers to hunt down the survivors with your own unique powers.

Neither did he use barbed wire anywhere outside of the trashy movies. It's a crossover event, dude. Nobody but you, me and couple of others hardcore fans that give a shit about lore intricacies. It's gonna be the way that is proffiting them.
This isn't just Silent Hill 3. It's the first 3 games in one chapter. The map from SH1, killer from SH2, and survivor from SH3.
It bothers me that the official killer name is "the executioner" rather than "pyramid head".
Well, it goes with his lore and saying “The pyramid Head” is a mouthful to people who have no idea who he is.
Would you rather him being called "Red Pyramid Thing" ? That is the only name he is reffered to as in the actual game of origin. "Pyramid Head" is not even anywhere in SH2 or the compendium files, it's a nickname fans gave it that just stuck with it.

I don't understand why you are hyped to see pyramid head. It shows again that the developers still don't understand the story of Silent Hill. The Rest of the trailer was good but i facepalmed soooo hard to see PH again. How about a new exiting monster to be scared about? But ok...at least it's just DLC and it shows that SH is not dead.
It wouldn’t make sense to make a whole new monster for a game that doesn’t have to do with SH. And even then it was said to be a licensed killer. Making up a new one wouldn’t be a *Licensed* killer. PH’s also a super iconic horror monster and it makes a lot of sense for him to be added.

Perhaps you should consider the lore of both games. The game does provide an explanation for Pyramid Head. He is the original version, pulled right out of James's mind.
Ok, firstly, The devs say in his backstory that it was from james' mind just like in the 2nd game, but that he was taken by the entity as his duty with james was fullfilled so he could punish these other survivors.
2nd, New and exciting monster? Yeah, Because I'm sure Leaving out one of if not the most iconic monsters that people love to see in favor of the devs making a new one straight from a game series they've never worked on is a good idea and wouldn't piss off the fans.
3rd, quit being a damn stick in the mud. Be disappointed all you want, but don't act like BHVR were stupid to do this. They were fans of silent hill and really made good on what they wanted to do.
Tbh i was hoping for James Charles to be the new killer and the Survivor Jeffree Star, im disappointed :(
