This violin music is very famous in CHINA. I have to say every violin student knows this piece. There was a movie made around 1973 about the life of the composer Ciprian Porumbescu. However, in the western world, this music and the composer seemed unknown to all music lovers.

It is not really completely unknown , it was played by some orchestras around the Europe and so on , of course is not so well known but is not forgotten.
In Romania , the country of the composer , it is very well known , and we are proud , as Romanians , to have such sublime piece in our repertoire.
Personal taste: the rhapsody's by Gm Enescu , are inspired from the folk music of Romania , and I don't like to so much ( I don't dislike it neither) .
This ballad , for me , is pure emotional , because the composer wrote it in the last year's of his life. He was in love with a woman , and her dad "stole" her to France , so Porumbescu wasn't able to see , ever again , his true love. Because of that ,bun the next year's after that , the composers diseased that he haved , started to develop more and more, destroying every bit of life from him. He died at 29. As you can see this ballad is very , sad.
But the same way it is beautifull and .... It goes deep into you're soul.

Who would've known that long time after the great Romanian composer died, his Ballade would resound there, in the world's capital of music, where he once was a young artist studying music !

He was not Romanian, he was Polish from Bukovina. His family name was Golumbovski which his father changed two years before the composer died as he was a priest.

    • @andreistoica1760
      @andreistoica1760 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@corinavasile6829 Yes, it's true that he was Polish, his birth name was Golembiovski. His father (Iraclie Golembiovski) indeed legally changed his name in Porumbescu in 1881 (golemb, or more correct "gołąb" in Polish means "porumbel" in Romanian, English for "dove"), but even in his youth he used to call himself Porumbescu. Ciprian used to call himself at first Golembiovski, but after that he used Porumbescu as his name. He may was Polish, but his heart was Romanian, he considered himself Romanian.. all his musical works were inspired by Romanian folklore, he fought for his belief that Bukovina should be recognised as belonging to Romanian territory, like most of other Romanian scholars believed . (Bukovina anyhow belonged to Romania for many years, and a great part of it still belongs to Romania).

@@corinavasile6829 well that's the case for a lot of famous composers
Liszt is actually List and furthermore just a germano-slavo mutt - fun fact he couldn't even speak hungarian properly
Chopin only half polish cause the other part was french
Henryk Wieniawski parents were Wolf Helman and Regina Wolff - you wonder why they had such strange names - well both of them were jews and later changed their names to blend in
Rachmaninoff family's claimed to be of romanian descent

ROMANII AU TALENT... Dar pacat ca toti cei cu talent si toti cei muncitori sunt sortiti sa moara in strainatate,Romania nu i recunoaste decat dupa ce vede ca strainul il apreciaza.Baladele, doinele, amintirea locurilor si plaiurilor noastre ne raman noua celor din strainatate,,,Durerea in inima si in suflet pt romanii ce au ramas acasa inconjurati de politcienii si hotii ce ne au vandut pe noi si tara

for baz odink: i am glad to hear that. but Ciprian Porumbescu is already famnous in Holland. The Maastricht Anthem is his song :Pe al nostru steag e scris unire, composed for the union of the romanian Principates (Moldova and Tara Romaneasca) from 1859. Porumbescu died in 1883, so he composed first this beautiful song which now is the Albania's anthem (it seems that Ceausescu sold this song).

It is very unlikely. Ceaușescu has born on January 26th, 1918. "Himni i Flamurit" (ex "Rreth flamurit të përbashkuar" and "Betimi mbi flamur") it was proclaimed as the national Albanian anthem since 1912. Not even Ceaușescu could trade something before he was born. :P
