One of M'aiq's earliest memories around 4 years of age was of putting something where it didn't belong, after hammering a screwdriver into a tree, then watching over the years as the tree grew around and absorbed the screwdriver inside. This one moved out at 26 years of age, after selling the old house he inherited from his parents, and last he checked, the screwdriver tree is still there. M'aiq turns 40 in January, time marches on. 🎶😸
yep.. as a 3 or 4 year old I filled the VHS player with coins and I remember knowing it was probably a bad idea but still did it. I then remember one day my dad hooking it up and trying to play a movie and it didn't work 😅
For the baby reacting to himself, I can confirm it works really well : During one of those 5 hours car rides on holidays, my baby brother was screaming his lungs out, when my little sister pulled out her phone and started recording him. After she got a good minute of audio, she raised her volume and played it back in front of him. The silent was almost instantaneous, and he didn't make any noise for the rest of the car ride
Any theories as to why that reaction is achieved ?

That beam of light emanating from the cloud is called a Crown Flash! They’re beyond unfathomably rare to see, and quite a beautiful spectacle at that. The reason for this phenomenon is due to electrical charge in the cloud.
Crown Flashes require a very, *very* specific set of circumstances to occur. The cloud needs to have electrical activity inside of it, it needs to be cold enough for ice crystals to form inside the cloud, and the sun must be shining onto the cloud from a very specific angle, which can vary depending on how high the cloud is and/or how dense it is.
Basically what happens, is light from the sun shines on the ice crystals in the cloud, which, if everything is absolutely 1000% perfect, reflects a beam of light out of the cloud. The flashing, pulsating nature of the light is caused by the electrical activity; lightning may occur within the cloud, reorienting the electromagnetic properties of the cloud for a moment. This sudden change in static electricity can shift the angle of the ice crystals in the cloud, momentarily redirecting the light they reflect.
There’s a lot of really cool videos of Crown Flashes I’ve seen on TH-cam, but the one in this video here is definitely one of the best!
Can ice crystals form in a tropical country like the Philippines?

I had a similar situation with the fish but with parakeets. My brother bought one as a kid. We had no knowledge of them at the time and learned they are social birds and needed to be in pairs. So mom sent me and my friend to the store to get a second one. We looked at the cage. Like 49 keets on one side and one little green one on the other. We chose him. We brought him home to join his new yellow friend and.....he promptly beat the snot out of yellow. Now we know why he had his own side of a cage.
Oh noes! Did you return him?
classic novice mistake, always run a background check before bringing a parakeet home, or at least check under its feathers for prison tattoos
@@CornyBum as a child, I had a tropical bird we absolutely should have run a background check on. It should've been a red flag that he was in his own cage, and the attendant had to put on a glove and he came out of the cage as a flapping ball of rage
@@melissasaint3283 heck no, we named him sparky and kept him for years. His attitude was so funny at times. It took years but I was able to be the only person who could hold him without a deadly battle ensuing.
That parakeet was alpha-dog
Fun fact, its not a glitch. The ice making a cloud can be pulled out by current winds and occasionally will produce an orb rainbow.
Nice
Nice
Nice
I seem to recall that in this case, it was ice crystals being aligned by intense electrical currents in a building storm. So they we're simply moving to reflect light back to the observer as the current in the cloud moved around, which is why it wasn't stable, but flipping around like you'd expect from high voltage currents.
The arc being there wasn't the glitch. The glitch was the fact that it appears to move impossibly fast. Presumably it was some trick of refracted light through some other part of the cloud casting a narrow beam onto that part of the cloud.

That crunch at the end followed immediately by "whoever is eating.." brought back a flood of memories of school. Thanks DDoI!
Redman2910 I used to eat Corn nuts in class! Loud and stinky- And I still got away with it 🤷🏻♀️
Before anyone worries about that sleeping dog...it's not necessarily a sign of a nightmare or a bad dream if they act like that. Dogs do tend to have intensive dreams from time to time, but they don't always seem distressed. Maybe he was just hunting the ideal dream squirrel.
Seen one of my dogs start running sideways, stop and wag their tail so hard they woke up. Pretty sure they were dreaming of Nanna coming over.
He was hunting a squirrel by smashing his head onto it?
One of my cats has nightmares every day/night, he'll fling his body way up into the air (like a meter or more), which often sends him flying off furniture or makes him land awkwardly on things that are uneven. It sometimes scares all of my cats, it happens so suddenly. I think it's because he's disabled with a neurological condition - he may dream about falling off stuff or running into things, both of which happen often in real life, but I dunno. Anyway, the dog might not have been having a nightmare, but we can't know for sure.
I feel sorry the poor pup startled itself awake
That's what mine is doing.
In real life, she doesn't bark at the squirrel but when she's asleep, she cries while she's chasing it.
The baby learned the concept of self-awareness that day.
So we should never show chatgpt his own picture, am I right?😂
@@pppp3997lol
Fun Fact: Babies become self-aware around 17-19 months old.
They can't learn self-awareness. Something in their brain has to biologically develop first which will automatically trigger self-awareness at around age 18 months.
In reality it's just fascinated by another baby crying, but I like the concept that it's realising it's itself :)
0:36 if you close your eyes sounds like you're walking through a rainforest on an alien planet

For the police officer trying to catch the crocodile/alligator video, that’s typically how you begin to attempt to immobilize some animals; you cover the eyes so they hopefully calm down before you restrain them. Rescuers and handlers do this with many reptiles and birds. 😁

As a cloud enthusiast I feel blessed to have seen two cloud-related phenomena in this video- a crown flash and a volutus (roll) cloud!
2:41 I'm the one who submitted the video of the big cloud ! So glad it made it in a Daily Dose video !! ✨
For the context : it happened at Carrillo in Argentina, we went to see the sunrise on the beach and this big cloud was moving very quickly towards us (I thought it was a tsunami at the beginning)
When it came over us, the wind picked up and the waves started to get more and more intense, and with the red sky of the sunrise it really felt like an apocalypse scene
Thanks to Daily dose for posting this video, and I am very happy to finally have an explanation of what it was thanks to your comments 😄 (Even if many of you compare it to AoT jajaja)
It almost looks like you caught a sky whale on video instead of a cloud, that thing is huge.
Its a roll cloud, caused by a front of cool air vs warm air the air gets rolled up in a big long horizonal vortex as the hot air rises at the back and the cool air falls at the front. It could mean theres a storm on its way or rain.
What? No. That's a lie. I'm the one who submit the video, my name is even in the credits.

Destruction of property? Also no - throwing clothes out a two story window onto a regular sidewalk doesn't destroy them.
@@RavensWings11
1. Well... yes. Big degree loitering does cause public disturbance... just look at everyone gathering to watch this. Unless you want to tell me that her behaviour is absolutely normal and doesn't impact anyone in the area? I don't know what about you, but i wouldn't want to have some underwear fall on my head when i'm walking on the sidewalk.
2. This one is really dependant on the area, but it's a big degree of loitering, which can fall under the vandalism category. Unless you want to tell me that covering someone's house in toilet paper isn't vandalism.
3. They fall on sidewalk, street, ground. They will get dirty and so there will be costs in cleaning them up. So yes, it can fall under this category. Unless you want to tell me that painting grafitty on a car isn't a destruction of property because it doesn't damage it. It's always a form of cosmetic damage that has to be "fixed" by cleaning it up.
Now, a lot depends on the area they are in, but in general it could easily full under these categories and she could easily be fined for her actions here, other than that it's unlikely more actions would take place because of very small amount of damage she inflicted... well, unless you would want to press charges about public humilation, but it would be way more complex.
