I discovered Mr. Dhirendra's VRO around 2004-2005, and ever since it has been my bible for MF investments. Today I am financially free all thanks to his wisdom.
I consider Dhirendra Sir as my Dronacharya. I have not met him. We don't know each other on a personal level. But, I considered him as my indirect Guru and myself as Eklavya. What a great influence he has created in me, I am not able to describe. I used to read all the articles and writings from his desk and used to accumulate paper cuttings for further and future reading. Today, after more than 30/35 years, I am able to swim the stock market through mutual funds.
Mr Direndra is god father of mutual fund literacy, have started investing by reading his blogs since 2006, highly consistent advice! Keep up n long live sir!
I still remember when there is not much Portal to research on Mutual funds. I used to check value research ..His guidance make me comfortable investing in Market ... completed 10 Years in Market ..

I have started seriously earning from 2012. My salary was around 14 LPA. Unfortunately I had no idea about investments and all my money was lying in FD and savings account. I have to spend some money for my younger sister and brother's marriage. I started investing in mutual funds fron 2017 June only. So i am investing for the last 7 years in MF, FD and stocks. I can certainly say, mutual fund is the best approach to investments for common people like us. I wish I had started my MF journey from 2012. I am 44 years old now. and wish to invest for another 10 to 12 years. Investment goals are retirement and child's education.
Excellent interview. Great insights. But one thing I don't agree with. Sensex 100 in 1978 and now 82000. MTNL, Hindustan Motors etc. were part of it but vanished. Sensex keep changing companies. There are no original surving companies as part of sensex now. Then how does it make sense while calculating returns from 1978 to 2024. A stalwart like Dhirendra kumar, whom I have seen for 3 decades, should be more clear on this and should not hide behind the jargon. Iam very sure he is not unaware of the calculation.
You need to learn the basics first, tax department is more intelligent than you and me. Wake up and start reading more. We pay tax in any transaction even in loss forget paying gains only for gain whether stocks, mfs, etfs or any financial assets, or even dividend tax is certain like death. Start reading manuals.. He is matured advisor, he is talking about brokerage people spent on trading on stocks. He will be favouring Stocks anytime due to cost efficient in for long term investor.
There is capital gain tax(on profit of more than 1 lakh annually)also in mutual funds all thanks to our finance minister nirmala sitaram, during chidabaram(congress) time it was zero ,that's the hard reality
They both are exactly the same, etf are bought and sold through exchange and requires buyer and seller to transact and can be one only on trading hours. MF on the other hand can be bought and sold anytime, buying and seller happens between the investor and the fund house, but in case of ETF buying and selling happens between two investors. Both are managed by Fund houses and have expense ratio.
@vimalmaheshwari5805 agreed, what about additional transaction cost, sebi charges, stt, stamp duty, gst? And not all the etf have high liquidity as one thinks, only popular ones have high liquidity. So it has liquidity vs expense ratio, but there is not much cost difference. Investing in direct stocks are more cost efficient in the long run.
Sir please answer this question... Kya hr saal apne gains pr profit lekr tax save kiya ja skta h... Or kya is se compounding pr koi fark bhi nahi pdta h... Please answer kijiega... Thnks
For the Newbie if you are actually trading in the crypto space and you don't have a sound mentor. Then you are certainly going to get liquidated in 90% of your trades. Yeah that's sad truth. I remember when i just got into crypto back in 2019 but later in 2020 i ended up selling it because i have lost alot trading all by myself without a guide. Got back into crypto early in 2024 with $20k and I'm up with $232k in a short period of time

From $37K to $65K that's the minimum range of profit return every month I think it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family.

I don't invest in stocks because everytime you sell a stock, you need to pay tax but mutual fund manager can buy and sell without paying any tax.
We pay expense ratio.Dont forget.
hence it is called tax sheltered vehicle as we can defer tax payment

No one becomes rich and wealthy unless start solid business like chemicals, auto, ships, manufacturing etc.
I realise, ETF is the far more advanced version of mutual fund.
They both are exactly the same, etf are bought and sold through exchange and requires buyer and seller to transact and can be one only on trading hours. @pralaysangma8019 ETF have low expense ratio, and have sufficient liquidity.

@pralaysangma8019 averaging in individual stock is risky while it is beneficial in ETF.
@@pralaysangma8019 Mutual funds take at least 2-3 days to get redeemed and money to come back. ETF's almost instantaneously gets redeemed.
Beautiful Anchor ✨her personality is amazing
The anchor's questions could be more sensible...........
If the mkt is falling, should we redeem our profit earned so far and put that in FD or keep the investment in the MF?
How can I hire Dhirendra Kumar's firm to build portfolio
