I used to be an atheist and always wondering the origin of universe & life.
Born in a Buddhist family(A Godless religion) and their all illogical stuff about Reincarnation & Karma...made me drift away from religions. I had an impression that all religions are illogical.
One of my friend a South African with Pakistani origin, a PHD Scholar, who did his thesis on the 'Black Hole & expansion of Universe' gave me a English translation of the Koran.
Today, Alhumdulliah I am a Muslim and I have found answers to all my questions.
Whenever & where ever I see people with a sceptical mind or people seriously pursuing Science.....I try to gift them the Holy Koran.

Yes, same thing happen with me
I am born in Muslim family, but not a Muslim at all I am just follow Islam b'coz it's my father's religion. And when I turn 14 i am surf on internet and some videos came which force me to ask myself about Islam but instead of asking I'm just ignores them which leads me to leave Islam.
There are lots of questions but 2 main are
Punishment of banu quraydha, Evolution theory.
And then I am become an atheist.
I am going to mosque every Friday but not to pray but doing exercise b'coz of fear of my father.
Then Time passes away when i turn 17, i am become smoking addict which starts ruining my life slowly slowly.
One day i am searching on internet how to overcome this addiction and i am introduces to term spirituality. And i am start believing in God after my researches.
But now I have to decide which religion should i follow. I 'think' that i know everything about Islam. So, I started with Christianity and start learning at after studying Christianity for almost 1 month i came to know that there is lots of differences between Paul's and jesus teaching. So i think I am not follow Pauline Christianity and i start learning about Judaism.
Only in 3 days i am leave it b'coz there is lots of things i found unjust.
Like jews are upper race and gentiles are for serve them etc etc.
Then i start learning Buddhism, but it's also very illogical, like there is no concept of god in Buddhism. But budhha predicted future in their books. Now, who tells budhha what is gonna happens in future? God? .
So i leave Buddhism too. And i am start learning Hinduism, and it's one of very interesting and also very confusing religion i ever studied.
It's not religion but combination of two religions. Sanatan dharm and Indian Paganism. Sanatan dharm is very similar to Abrahamic religions. Like God is One, Idolatry is bad, also concept of halal and haram existed. But its also corrupted by adding Indian Paganism in it. And then i study some minor religions like Baha'i, Sikhism, Jainism, Zoroastrianism. I am found something missing every time and i am really hopeless, that which religion is true. I can't become atheist again b'coz i am feel god with me every moment now. Then after 1 month. I asked a question to myself am i really studied Islam? Answer is obviously No. Because i think that i know everything. But when i start learning i found i know nothing about Islam. After studying Islam for 7 weeks i found that Islam is very true religion from God it's continuation of various religions in world. But then my old questions came in my mind, but this time instead of running from them, i start found answer for them. And i got answer to my all questions and 4 months ago i visit mosque and 'pray' for first time b'coz before this prayer i am just done physical exercise. I know how to pray b'coz i am learn in madarsa for 5 years. And when I started pray i found every single word heart touching like- *Al hamdu lillaahi rabbil ‘alameen* - Praise be to God, Lord of all the worlds.
    *Ar-Rahman ar-Raheem Maaliki yaumid Deen* -
The Compassionate, the Merciful. Ruler on the Day of Reckoning.
And Alhamdulillah today I am a practising Muslim. And I thank Allah to guide me to true path and make me a true Muslim.

But it was a lie. They were siding with the confederate all along. They left Medina behind the Muslims backs.
That is why when Muslims returned from the battle, they captured Banu Quraiza and they were punished for their betrayal.

When I was a child/young teenager I often couldn't fell asleep because I was constantly thinking about why I exist and what is going to happen after death. One day I decided to go to church more often to learn about God ... but for some reason I was always held back ... until very soon I found out about Islam. And not only that ... in it I found logical and satisfying answers to all my questions. Alhamdulillah, Allah guides whom He wills. I found to Islam because I opened my heart, mind and eyes.

By not accepting their explanations which didn't make sense to me, I was looked at by them as being stubborn, headstrong and disobedient. It didn't stop me from leaving the organization. For 25 years I assumed that every religion was not based on logic, it was all the same I assumed. I became an Atheist. Until....... I started to read the Quran.... alhamdulillah! 6:20 This hits you hard when you realize all your life was but just lies(wrongs). We were scared by the Fire of hell, fantasized by The Hoors of Paradise, somewhere there no one taught us how to Love Allah. How to adore Him and love Him from the core of your heart. How to approach Him. How to communicate With Him. Instead of correcting our mistakes, We were beaten on a small vocabulary mistake during recitation of Quran. Eyes full of anger, poisonous tongue, and they thought we will become a better Muslim. But Allah-u-Akbar we are still going fine. I hope future generations won't suffer from these issues.

Mashallah.. this is the correct way to go about things.. Allah himself encourages mankind to look at the world and signs around them and think. But sadly most people who call themselves scholars of Islam nowadays discourage this and say faith is to accept without questioning.. I was watching a Ramadan program on TV where a scholar was answering questions on a Pakistani channel the other day and the scholar they invited on there did not know the answer to a question so he started ranting about the culture of questioning everything and said nowadays we have this "fitna" of logical thinking.. needless to say I never watched his program again.. Islam does not want us to be deaf dumb and blind and accept everything without thinking.. May Allah bless Nouman Ali Khan for this effort..

Subhanallah, it's the best dawah I've ever listened. That's what I've been thinking about every time: why do we accept without thinking and understanding what we are accepting? Why are we shaming of ques-s about deen? Because we fear of losing our imaan or confidence in our deen?? or because we fear that non Muslims would say 'hey, even U aren't confident in UR deen, how do U ask me to accept it'?
NO! We must ask that ques-s, otherwise loose UR imaan is a ques-n of time. And the most important fact is that our deen doesn't need UR worries about its comprehensibility to others, IT'S U the one who should worry about UR understanding of truth!

Btw brothers and sisters in Islam, no that there's no sunni and Shia mention in the Quran contrary to Muslims, that is, we follow Deen e Islam, and were are all Muslims. We follow Allah's words: Quran and Prophet Muhammad (Saw) : Hadith.
Next time some one ask you about your aqueedah tel him or her u follow Quran and Hadith and u a Muslim. That's all. May Allah accept your our duahs increase our imaan and yakeen, show us the true path to him, protect us all from shaytaan and reassemble, remove the the burdens and ease the difficulties of the ummah through all and every means. We can think but up to a limit. We should refrain from thinking too much about things that are hidden. Know it and believe it. Besides this, the other religious affairs ask if one doesn't know. For indeed the cure of not knowing is Asking.

From my childhood I am seeing the only purpose of Qur'an is to mention some ayahs during khubah and to recitation in the Ramadan. As soon as Ramadan is over Qur'an goes back to it's rest of the 11 months place: in the almirah. It has always been poking in my head what is the use of holy Qur'an if I don't know what actually those ayahs saying,of course recitation is rewarding but that is not better than just singing a gazal without ever intend to comprehend it. May Allah let us all understand Qur'an

So true! The pressure that they put on us, not only parents but the family. It sucks, you cant even be yourself, make mistakes etc. Just had to be a puppet around them and when they leave we finally can be ourselves with our flaws. We need to understand everyone learns at his own pace and needs to be ready, especially mentally, to practise (pray fast etc). Just be patient! Let them leave sins cause of the reason for themselves/God, not by threatening them or being angry or yell at them. This will lead us even further away from religion and will start to hate it. Remember Allah doesn't punish right away, He gives million chances, be like HIM, give each other time and respect and believe in them. They chose to have children, now we are here, and at one point they need to understand they need to let go. We make our own choices wether it is good in your perspective or not. Communicate in a respectful way and things will be gucci! Live and let live!
