- Part of the reason for the lack of horn content recently was the death of my old vehicle in early 2022. To date (October 2022) I still haven't gotten the rack and valve mounted to my new rig. Still working on that.
Last horn on the old Accord was a BNSF H1 green RS3K. Fitting.
That generation of Toyota 4-cylinders are literally invincible. That thing will last you for YEARS to come and that huge trunk will definitely allow for a bigger tank. Hopefully battery for the electric motor won’t give you trouble. Congrats on the new ride.
The trunk is smaller than on my old Accord because of the hybrid battery, and won’t fit two 20 gallon tanks! 😭 otherwise I’m super happy with it.
Nice RS3K! You had so many of them. They are one of my favorite horns. It always reminds me of BN. And you got a Toyota Camry. That is a nice car. I got a 2015 one. It is reliable.
a B note plays 493 hertz and The 48 bell plays 480 hertz. And an A# plays 466 hertz. So I guess you could call it playing a B because 480 is closer to 493 than 466.
I’m sorry about your car
I bet ya honda lost the timing belt. Nice RS3K. Try soakin the tag in acitone. Works great on takin the paint off. I might have a nice tag for it if the tag aint good Enjoy ya new ride Maddie
Yup. Found out later the timing belt slipped, bending some valves.
@@mafarnz Yup common, 0 interfearance engine. No room for an open valve at the wrong time.
@@mafarnz My ‘96 Camry has a timing belt that needs replacing every 100,000 miles. At 270,000 now… Really hoping it holds up for another 30,000…
I would suggest getting that timing belt replaced. That’s what I did, I kept putting it off, thinking it was OK until it catastrophically failed.
@@mafarnz My uncle claims to have replaced it at 100,000 and 200,000, so I should be okay… SHOULD…
Is the horn setup on your Camry going to be the same as on your Accord or is it going to receive some upgrades?
A few minor upgrades and changes to fit in the new vehicle. But basicily the same.
@@mafarnz Alright.
Can’t go wrong with Toyota! It may even be worth a shot to see if your Honda stopped over something simple, sounds like it maybe a fuel pump. You could have a dedicated horn rig
@@NickSilcox3 According to MaFarnz, the timing belt snapped and it bent a valve.
What if you combined a Leslie a75 with a leslie a125?
Depends on what kind of 75 and 125 they were, there were many different lengths of each that made different pitches.
What year was it
2001
@@mafarnz that’s pretty good
Throw it in the gutter buy another
