It is so good. Dimash is the best. I would ask you to listen to the version by Koji Tamaki the writer of this song. It is titled "Ikanaide". I believe it was written for his mother as she was either very sick or had passed away and so it has different lyrics. It is just as emotional. Enjoy your reactions, keep up the with good videos.

Our love & respect to Gloria Wu who took the time to interpret Dimash songs when we first became Dears. How humble of Di to learn this beloved Chinese song (in 1 week) to honor his Chinese hosts.
If you watch the video to the end you can see Yoshiko Yamaguchi listening to the song.
He is the best vocalist ever.He pulls you in in another dimension when ever he sings.
I recommend Daybreak. Another incredible true story. Gloria Wu has the backstory too, you cannot ignore this one. I recommend... that you fo both versions..the Singer one (gloria wu) and the Bastau one, from Dimash's channel. Awesome and heartwrenching. Thanks!!!

Recently, I watched a reaction video by a young gentleman of Chinese decent. He went in to great detail explaining what a complex language Mandarin is & that he anticipated Dimash struggling with the correct pronunciation, even to the point of questioning his decision to tackle such a imposing task. Half way through the song, he muttered an expletive & said, in amazement, he had totally forgotten that Dimash was not a native Mandarin speaker. And, by the way I loved your reaction. You made me cry Mama.

Great reaction. There is no better storyteller than Dimash. Those falsetto notes in the middle of the song scream out the pain and heartbreak of the woman in the story. I’ve seen this video many times, and cry each time.

Hello! You can find this song on ITunes but the title is in Chinese. As others have recommended, you should listen to Daybreak, from the Gloria Wu channel, you will really like it. When Dimash sang Daybreak, he was quite sick and had totally lost his voice (wait until you hear what Dimash sounds like with a bad voice. It is quite amazing! ...). But then, go right away to Daybreak Bastau, which is the same song interpreted when he is not sick; it is even more amazing.
I had the same reaction you did to Autumn Strong; I was going through a divorce when I first heard it, and this song rocked me to sleep many nights when all I could do was cry; it has the perfect mood! And Dimash interprets it with so much passion.

I cried every time I watched this for at least two weeks and I love the song so I watched it every day. From what I understand she was able to go back to China once as an ambassador from Japan. She learned that her lover had been executed by the government for "harboring" her. Really a sad story. Thank you for reacting to this.

Autumn Strong is one of my favorite Mandarin songs by him, but I actually really love most of his Mandarin songs. They are all beautiful and the lyrics translate so deep. Jackie Cheung has a popular version but I actually don't like his version that much. I much prefer Koji's original in Japanese. His cry voice is so haunting and beautiful. It's a must listen. Another version I like is by James Li Quan, who sung it the year after Dimash on the same show. Oh....you have to check out Dimash's The Meaning of Eternity. It's only a little over 2 mins long but one of the most hauntingly beautiful piece of music ever recorded. Here are the links. ♡♡♡

She has set it to scenes from Dr. Zhivago and it pairs very well with the lyrics and the melody (as far as I know there are no live versions of him singing it.) This was my favorite song and performance from the Singer series - I don't know Chinese and didn't know the lyric but his performance delivered all that was needed. He's a remarkable vocalist and musician. I'm so happy this song moved you too.
