    Thank you so much for the free banjo lessons in your ministry. Our choir at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church is still not back in action due to Covid. Before it hit, I was singing (second soprano) and playing my guitar and fiddle . I'm hoping we will return soon. I'm still working on my banjo, love, Judy Corrette in Wildwood, Fl

    I agree, always a need for a few good “sing along songs “ under the belt. Thank you

    Mandy, You've made this one of the most fun songs that I've learned! I would love even more songs incorporating different strums with clawhammer. This is cool.

    I think I get it. I was practicing it on my banjo . I'm still not comfortable with claw hammer , more used to blue grass picking but I'm getting slowly!!! I keep watching you because you teach so good. Love and peace , Judy Corrette in Wildwood, Fl

      I would tell your instructor you don’t want to learn it. You are paying that person money, they should teach you things you’d like to learn.

      New banjo that’s awesome!!!! Spend some time doing my easy clawhammer lesson 1 first (I’m sure you know that). But sometimes the excitement just gets people wanting to rush and there’s no need for that. I’d love it if you would share a photo of it with me. You can email me at banjolemonade at iCloud dot com. Congrats! 🎉🎈🎊

      Will do. Don’t know about the picture though. I’m not very photogenic. I appreciate you taken time out your day to make these.
      I do have a song request, Rye Whiskey. There’s a YT channel, who’s name escapes me, who’s got a very nice rendition of it recorded. Banjo doctor I believes the name. I’d love to be able to learn it.

    • @BanjoLemonade
      @BanjoLemonade  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok no problem, I wanted a pic of the banjo though not you LOL. I’ll add it to my long list Tom. Maybe someday I’ll be able to do all these requests. Sorry if that’s not the answer you were looking for but I’m overloaded. Thanks for watching.

    Do yo do any tutorials without a capo?

    • @BanjoLemonade
      @BanjoLemonade  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Sarah, are you asking about this song in particular? This song was originally done in the key A byOld Crow Medicine Show. They used a capo on 2 in the original. The guitarist Willy Watson and their banjo player both capo so they can be in A along with the fiddle.

    I noticed that you didn’t use finger picks when you play. Do you ever wear finger picks to play banjo?

      That’s great, that’s what I was hoping for with this Garnett! Yeah, I wanted you to hear the silly chipmunk sounding audio for it since it’s sped up some. haha. Yep I love my girls.
