I had a Crematogaster ashmeadi colony which was in the thousands. They were doing very good, but definitely were escape artists. That colony suffered a mite infestation which lowered their numbers from several thousand to about 50. I’ve never dealt with mites before, so this caught me off guard. I tried my best to do what I can but eventually all the workers had died. The queen somehow survived with no mites, so I put her in another test tube hoping to get the colony started back up again, but she recently passed away as well. They were my most successful colony.
Hey! It would be cool if you could post a yr short or two of your process when feeding some of your colonies! I look forward to more from this channel!

Just Keep Up With These Girls Once A Month Or So And I'll Be Here
6:43 SAME!!!
You should make a video about how to prepare your ant farm before you go on vacation
Great to see them settling in to the new nest. I also had issues of accidentally crushing my ants before I got fluon. Anyway, good luck!
These are such a cute ant! I think them easily escaping would drive me bonkers though =)
You and me both!
Bro tapinoma sessile as well, the easily climb through everything, I'm going to get fluon.
Glad your posting again
More to come!
5:30 the pipe is facing the wrong way. that would bother me so much. i'd turn it so they dont have to walk a bow around it to get inside
Nice video! Im just starting into the ant keeping world. Im getting Pogo Badius shortly. Do You have any Pogo species to feature?
I wish. I dont live anywhere near those species
What species are you currently keeping?
You’ll find out soon
Lots of new ones
