The sad reality is that comparing sports to medicine is not realistic at all. Rosie's comment was disregarded and she had an extremely valid point. You can't compare an athletes batting average to someone's life. Very unrealistic and unprofessional to think it's a valid analogy.
I think you are misunderstanding. He is not saying that you shouldn't take human lives seriously. He is just saying that even the best of the best doctors will make mistakes occasionally. Because of this, it is not fair to criminalize doctors for being human (which means that even if you put all of your effort into not making a mistake, you will still make a few mistakes) when there is no intent to harm.
Funny how the main criticism she had of Doctors was that they didn't listen and then these guys don't listen to her question and never answer it. I would not want to be that interviewer. So rude!
Just a heads up about going to a doctor who comes highly recommended to you by others. I've done this afew times and have had some bad office visits and care. What works for someone else isn't necessarily going to work for you. I'll admit with time I've become very distrusting of the medical community as a whole. Also health insurance in America is a joke. I'm on an HMO through work and it's terrible coverage!
How is this “tips to find a skilled doctor”? There were no tips, just a disagreement about punishment for “bad doctors”. What a terrible title for a video and a waste of 5 minutes for anyone looking for information.
I did this and a Dr who was in 2013 ranked #4 in Boston for MIGGS, he butchered me. Many complications and procedures needed after. It was horrible. So you can do all the research you want, we get no guarantee that the Dr is going to care about your life or issues.
He knows they all suck. I’m talking 99%. Even more than 99%. So he has to come up with something as an excuse. 99% of doctors would never even see if you have mercury in your mouth before suggesting that someone’s depression and fatigue is something you should go to a therapist for
This guy on the left obviously grew up spoon fed and sports channel is all he’d ever learn to love he’ll sit there an compare birth to badminton in a sec if he gets a chance😂
This is not waiting tables! There’s no illusion!! Your bad day or mistake, may cost someone a great deal of pain!! In medicine saving lives is no illusion it is a requirement! Being good priceless!!!
Here's my tip: Do your own research. Check multiple sources (credible). Or just Reddit. You'll save yourself half the time from doing useless follow up appointments.
Jesus, such a terrible analogy from Doctors !! and if a doctors, having a bad day, he should go home instead of miss diagnosing or making a deadly mistake!!
Oh Travis this is such a joke. Comparing doctors to professional athletes. When a professional athlete is having a bad season the whole world knows that because of the media but no one knows if a doctor is having a “bad season” or in reality is a bad doctor all the time. The idea we should go to this doctors that Travis would never go to because the need a job is insulting. Sure doctors make mistakes and even the most skilled surgeon can’t anticipate some things happening but that is vastly different than a doctor who shouldn’t be a practicing physician and/or surgeon.
I think men doctors don't listen just my experience with two male doctors I've had recently. Older ones typically. Some like to advertise they are 5 star, don't go by that in local city magazines. See what other women have to say. Check website reviews that cannot be tweaked by the doctor.
Honey, use a search engine to do some “research”, and ask MEN you know (professional adult men) about their doctors. Sorry, but women often say a doctor who is “nice” is a great doctor.
98% bullshit. How do you find a competent doctor? Given the satirical bell curve which divides any population into less than average and better than average categories, How do you find a doctor on the right side of the curve. In addition, as they age what a doctor learned is medical school becomes less and less relevant and what they read in medical journals, unless peer reviewed, is at best biased and at worst incorrect and self serving. All of us become complacent over time, are comfortable with what we know and resist change, resist new treatments and procedures. Another problem is that doctors, as a profession, tend to protect the incompetent. Unlike automobils and appliances there is no Consumers Report for doctors.

These doctors are DEFENSIVE!! Having a doctor shortage is NO excuse for crappy care, and that is happening. I know because it happened to me.

She complained about doctors not listening when she took her husband to the ER and then these docs proceeded to not listen to her. Wow
Dodge Dodge Dodge They don't want to Answer because they don't want to be called out.

This was pretty shocking how bad they fumbled this question.

Agreed. I' am here trying to find tips on how to find a good doctor and this guy takes an unexpected turn.
Exactly a scary world

That doctor should lose his license for using such an idiotic comparison

Our governments should regulate this. It shouldn’t be on us.
This is the problem. He admits that not all Dr's are great. But as a patient we only want to see someone who is great. 2nd best no thank you.

Baseball and losing your life is totally comparable 😂
Dr. Stork neck got so red during this scene.
my primary care physician is incompetent. and I need help with heart failure.
I don't trust doctor's because of past experience . That sucks.
The BEST advice. Don’t go under the knife unless it’s life or death for you. Anything else is bullshit.
Jesus, such a terrible analogy from Doctors !! and if a doctors, having a bad day, he should go home instead of miss diagnosing or making a deadly mistake!!
This was stressful listening to

It's all BS , they have a paper from Yale and other Ivy's, so they are GOD and Perfect. How many elders have they taken out?
I lost 5 minutes of my life watching this video in the end I don't know how to find a doctor.😅

They really don't listen
Focus on malicious intent
There are not enough good doctors

Wow! What a complete waste of time. The only tip here is to seek help elsewhere.
Soooooooo…..
Somewhat cocky 😏 again who knows the most
This woman is annoying
She wasn't annoying, the doctors were annoying ! She was asking for a legit answer, they were circumventing the issue.
