I too have been trying to learn astrology. There are so many nuances to it. I’ve found that “the big 3” are the most useful parts of astrology. The most useful thing I have learned was to come at it as if you are learning another language. Not only does it put things in perspective but it can allow your mind to break it down into it basic parts to make it more understandable. Personally, I haven’t gotten that far, but it has allowed my brain to relax a bit which has helped. Thanks for sharing your experience! ✨

I’ve been looking into astrology as well lately, up until a year or so ago, I only new about sun signs, I got my birth chart done a few months ago but I’m confused as to what my rising sign is, I got 2 different answers from 2 different websites! I’m also confused as to what the different houses mean. That book looks interesting, I’ll have to check it out!

post-colonial astrology is a great book on the topic! it's super dense and i haven't finished it yet, but i liked what i've read so far :)
