- The Swivel is a new car seat from Britax-Römer. It rear faces from 40-105cm (birth to around four years), and then the harness is tucked away and the seat can be used as a high back booster up to 125cm.

This is the best video I have watched among all brands and channels on TH-cam. It couldn't be explained more clearly. Thank you very much indeed. You put this product in my head, I liked it very much and the biggest part of this is your great explanatory video. Wish you all the best in life.
Wow, this is such a lovely message, thank you so much!
This is super informative. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this! Small tip might be to add chapters to your video. We have a one year old so we could skip that chapter :-)
To be honest, that is a good idea. I have never looked into it, but I will.
Do you remember adac point of this seat ? Please help..🙏🏻 and I also wonder whether baby can watch the outside from window or not? Is it a higher seat than usual car seats ?
Great video! Thanks a lot!
This chair not for small babies - there is only "sit" position face back or face forward. But baby can't hold his head straight - so this chair only from 3-4 month babies.
Some cars have flatter seats than others, this seat may be too upright for a newborn baby in cars with sloped seats, but be fine in cars where the seats are flatter.
@@RearFacingToddlers But manufacturer didn't claim it. And how many cars have flat rear seat and how many don't ? Volkswagen hasn't flat seat
I know, all cars are different and I agree that that isn’t always made clear.
This. Bye bye 400€ :(
But is that angle ok for newborn 2 month baby. In my BMW the seats are in an angle that the carseat position for baby becoming more sitting than laying Even after adjusting the angle on carseat
Same with my Astra. It seems that no matter what position I try with the seat, the baby is just too upright for sleeping, so his little head ends up falling, which seems completely unsafe.
Not every seat is suitable for every car and unfortunately in cars with sloped seats and low ISOfix points, some car seats will be too upright. The ideal angle for a small baby is a 45º backrest. You can measure this with the spirit level app on your phone.
An upright seat is only unsafe for a small baby if their head falls forward or their chin is on their chest. If your baby's head stays up with a gap between the chin and the chest, then it's fine.
Same with my Hyundai venue
Sorry, so for baby we do not need additional to use car belts? I mean to fix the car seat for more safety
TIA
This is an ISOfix car seat, it clips into the car’s ISOfix points. Some car seats use ISOfix, some are installed with the seat belt, but never both. Adding the seat belt to this seat will not make it more secure. I always explain it like this. If you can’t see properly you either wear glasses or contact lenses, but if you wear both your vision will be worse, not better. This is the same thing, it’s one or the other, but never both.
What seat has more of a recline? The swivel or the dualfix pro m 360 please? How would you compare them? For a 1.5yo on low centiles
I have to be honest and say that I am not actually sure. I do know that ISOfix seats like these can be a bit too upright in cars with sloped seats.
Most car seats allow you to remove the newborn head hugger. What do you do if baby needs the rest of the insert but the head part is too small?
I honestly don't know. I thought that was really odd too...
We have the same problem. The head rest pushes the head of our baby forward
Only thing I could think of would be to tuck it in the back behind the rest of the insert we’re having the same problem
Can this carseat be used without Isofix, just with seatbelt?
No, it can't. It's ISOfix only. If you need a belt fitted seat up to 105cm, have a look at the Joie ones. www.rearfacingtoddlers.com/collections/belt-fitted
Can you use the 5poin harnes when ist forward fasing?
You can... But I stongly urge you not to, rear facing is much safer. The Swivel's rear facing limits are 105cm or 18kg, whichever comes first. That's around four.
There are quite a few car seats that rear face up to 125cm with weight limits that vary from 22 to 36kg, which is around six or seven years. So there is no point in getting a seat that can turn forward long before it is safe to do so.
Does this seat have the same degrees of tilt as a DualFix?
That's a good question and one that I don't know the answer to, I'm afraid. Britax customer service should be able to help you with that.
Can this seat be used in the front seat when in HBB mode?
I have asked Britax for you and am still waiting to hear back. Most booster seats have retractable ISOfix arms, so they can be used without ISOfix. For use in the front seat you will need to consult the car's manual to see whether or not the airbag needs to be switched off.
Is this the swivel isize or the dualfix m plus
This is the Swivel.
How to remove the base pls ?
You can't remove the base, it's attached to the seat.
