I love how, even after 300 episodes, whenever somebody mentions that they found diamond next to lava, Geoff still gets pissed because of what his daughter said.

I don't necessarily mind that they don't film stuff being built. What I would really enjoy is them filming a damn tour of it so it isn't so darn confusing.

I feel like every episode from here on out thats in Achieveland is Mad King Ryon III. I mean, he's the one calling the shots while Geoff takes a back seat, he's got a hole in his base where "everyone is edger." Let's face it; Ryan owns Achieveland. Then again Jeremy and Matt might have claim too, but they might just be Ryan's acolytes.
There is some hope. If Gavin can rise to challenge and slay the Dark God's minions, he can reclaim the crown and bring piece to the lands … or chaos … Gavin might be Wheatley, ending the world with his stupidity and ineptitude. Which is worse? Tyranny or Anarchy?
Jeremy is Ryans Battle buddy after all, so by default he is an accomplice of his mischiefs

Geoff's almost right about the healing arrows. They will heal "normal" alive mobs and players, but will do extra damage to "undead" mobs like zombies and ghasts. If you want to heal undead mobs you will need "Harming" arrows of level 2.
Note that the arrows do damage, then heal, meaning if the target has low health then they'll die anyway.

ive got to say, i would have preferred if the building of achieveland wasnt done off camera. seeing a bunch of new stuff without knowing how it got there and missing a whole bunch of what i would assume would be great conversations between everyone while they are building. Kinda like the first few episodes of achieveland. i liked seeing how everything was built, and then all of the sudden its done, kind of a let down. just saying
Cab00se23 tbh there probably wasn't much missed because they could just hop on whenever and just build. And considering they are now allowing creative mode to be used we probably didn't miss much of anything. I do hope however they make a tour video to see everything

On a technical note: I'm pretty sure that healing arrows do damage and then the healing effect activates immediately afterwards, so they only seem like they do no damage.
That's what I was assuming, since we just saw Jeremy with 1-2 hearts before Ryan shot him, and Lindsey's hearts flickered when Michael shot her with the healing arrow.
That being said at least for zombies and skeletons potions of healing harms them and potion of harming heals them
Ghast are undead. All undead mobs take damage from healing effects
so we don't get to see the rest of the build :,(

Because it was mostly Jeremy and Lindsay (and also Matt?) building while everyone else was busy, which was the last Let's Build crew. And everyone hated it so much that it got cancelled. So we'll likely never see a build again that doesn't involve the main six.

A lot of their building was between videos, when some of them had a thing to record and the others were comparatively free. They've basically been working on it on and off when they can.

Just wanted to say before watching this, as someone who's been watching Let's Pay Minecraft since episode 1, it's bringing back some nostalgia just seeing the guys play Minecraft like this again. Glad you guys soldiered on after not being able to recover the original map. Keep up the great work.

At first, I was concerned. I thought, "Getting a Ghost through a portal and killing it? How could that possibly take 50 minutes?"
But then they spent 15 minutes trying to get a bucket of water down a hole, and I knew it would all be okay.
In case anyone actually wants to succeed in getting this achievement:
1. Make large cobble platforms with large portals above lava lakes, Ghasts will be forced to spawn close to your portal
2. Fire resistance potions (Self-Explanatory)
3. Enchant your fishing rods to have unbreaking, they'll last longer

When they first got a Ghast into the Super Portal and it led to the No Petting Zoo with no Ghast (due to them NOT making their receiving portal big enough for the Ghast), it reminded me of a couple of episodes from STARGATE SG-1. In one ep, SG-1 was coming back through the gate to SGC but only Teal'C and Daniel made it while, Carter and O'Niell were sent to another gate due to the sending gate was being charged by energy weapon fire. At the end it was realised that the receiving gate that Carter and O'Niell came from was actually a second Earth gate that has been forgotten in Antarctica, close to McMurdo Station.
Another, Teal'C got stuck in the SGC gate because the sending gate was affected by a ship crashing and exploding on it. Later Teal'C rematerialized when Carter and others "hacked" their gate via using Earth's first gate's DHD (Dial Home Device).

How the healing arrow works is that it hurts the person THEN heals, so it damages then heals instantly after, so if it deals enough damage to kill someone, they die before they get healed

Tipped arrows deal damage and apply their effect the next tick, so a healing arrow damages and then immediately heals. Jeremy died because he had very little heart, and was damaged enough to be killed before he was healed. The same happened when Ryan shot the ghast; it didn’t have enough health to survive. When Michael shot Lindsay with one, you can see she lost health and then immediately was healed.

Jesus christ Jeremy, Geoff, Ryan, and Lindsay tripping over each other with the water buckets in the beginning was making me tear my hair out holy shit. They could have had one person do that job and everything would have been done in five minutes but they had four people trying to do it instead because Achievement Hunter.

Half of the people in this literally kept pulling it backwards or worrying about different ghasts, Lindsay was more benificial then Jeremy screaming I have it when he was pulling it away from the portal
Lesson learned from this, before you try to wrangle a Ghast for any reason...armor and splash potion - fire resistance - up. Also some enchanting on the fishing rods - unbreaking - to help with durability might help.

Cobblestone won't be blown up by ghast fireballs. Probably a good idea to make a platform of it near the portal since the real estate is running slim

I love all the variations of "I can hear him so clearly", "he sounds so close", etc, when Ghasts sounds have the same volume regardless of distance.

To everyone saying “I wanted to see the build ); “ the last two episodes haven’t been Achieveland episodes, they’ve just taken place in achieveland. What I mean is, they’re airing out of order to the filming, and when we get Achieveland six not everything will have been built that we saw this episode, like the farm.

I'm too deep into this minecraft hole that I know exactly how to link portals. everytime you go through a portal it looks for the nearest portal to the equivalent coord in the dimension you're going to in a 128x128 area centered on the portal block your legs were in. so if your portal in the nether would large enough, it might lead to different portals depending on the side you go into.
Josh_Le_GamerYT so they needed to do was break the little one and both overworld ones, then portal from there nether to the overworld. Anyway they need to find a coordinate calculator, that's all.

Also, It might be useful to build a smoothstone platform near the portal so people stop falling into holes.
well he said "he exploded in red happy stuff" and I believe he was referring to the red effects on the arrows because it was definitely an arrow of healing he shot at it, the thing is that those arrows hurt and then heal and ghasts are really weak so I believe a fully charged arrow will always one shot them, same with jeremy he was low on health so the arrow killed him before it could heal him.
You can see this effect when micheal shoots lindsay at 41:58 put the video on 0.25 speed and you'll see she looses hearts but then regains them
