I can't believe it's been over 30 years since I read The Colour Of Magic, but the Watch is my favourite sub series of the Discworld novels. Night Watch is one of the greats, but I think Thud is my winner.
@@TreeBeardBookReviews If you reread the Watch books in future, I advise adding (at appropriate publication point) 'The Truth', the Moist Von Lipwig books, and Monstrous Regiment (optional), makes for a great Ankh-Morepork epic!
It's always so exciting to find a new favourite! I've almost finished the First Law trilogy and it's on track to become my new favourite fantasy series ever!
The best Pratchett book [Discworld or other] is a very much contentious issue. My favourite is [probably] 'Reaper Man' as it really 'spoke to me' so to put it when I first read it on release. I went to the 1997 Clarecraft Discworld event that was 'Reaper Man' themed too. At the event I joined a loose group of fellow fans and we, inevitably it seems, had a friendly heated debate about Disworld and the best book. I'm with one of the others in the group who said his favourite Pratchett book is "The next one!".
Discworld is the best series and the watch is the best thread within it and of that thread night watch is clearly the best I think I must have reread at least once a year
Remember the People's Revolution of Treacle Mine Road on May 25th. "Truth, Justice, Freedom, Reasonably Priced Love, and a Hard-Boiled Egg!"
Your discribing and summarisation is so good. Thank you, just re read this book third time in my live and glad that someone enjoyed it as well.
I knew you'd love this one. My favourite look at a younger character is Reg, he's so painfully earnest :)
and so painfully alive lol
Young Nobby is absolutely priceless
I keep meaning to read Discworld. I only read a couple back when I was younger and loved them. Must. Get. Back. Into. Them.
I hope you did!

Yeah I’m looking forward to Thud! Everyone says it’s awesome. Just as dark as nightwatch but still has its funny bits

Hi 👋 I’m glad u found a great book series, I’m happy for you!! 😊😊😊😊 happy reading to you!! 📺🎥📖
So many good Pratchett books! My two favorites are Night Watch and Small Gods!
My favorite has always been Guards Guards.
Something about sad prologues always gets me.
There is no way to explain the love i have for this book. I put it next to the dark tower. Love them both
This book has a gut punch of a plot. And I loved every page of it.
Can't wait to get into the City Watch crew
Theo its unreal.
May 25th is coming soon….re-read time and hit the bars in your DiscWorld t-‘shirts if ya have any

He gave me a spoon...
He ate the whole pie. Even the inedible bits
He was the first one to make me sergeant... course it didn't stick but I knew I could do it then see
this review most definitely is not "spoiler free" :D
not a problem for me, have read the book.
