That's a big example of parents being way dumber than their own kids. Why the fuck did they think this is something for kids to see? It's clearly rated R and a hard R at that; almost an NR-18 (that's an old movie rating for adults only, no kids allowed.) It's like finding out out some mom bought a season dvd of Hiragushi for her 9 year old daughter just because it's animated and she thought the box cover was cute. **facepalm**

Weapon X gave Wolverine's healing factor to Deadpool in the comics (tweaked to account for cancer). The changes the movie made didn't take anything away from his character though. Deadpool and Deadpool 2 are pretty much perfect.

I personally feel that, while not perfect, I kind of liked the look of Deadpool in the X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie compared to other looks of Deadpool. That one had more of an experimental look than the comically hideous look they have him with in this new movie. They could have had it where since he would not be quite and they could not break his spirit during experimentation, they found a way to keep him from talking permanently and that is why he had skin covering his mouth. Since the people experimenting on him definitely did seem like the type of people to do something like that, it would have made perfect sense and given more sympathy towards Deadpool. And I think that to stay true to that X-Men Origins movie they could have still gave him no mouth in this movie and just had him do internal dialogue the entire time. People think that he is so serious and deep, but all the while he is talking about them and cracking jokes. Or he cuts a hole in his face so that he can talk. But since he keeps healing, he has to keep doing it. That would be kind of original and fit with this R rating the movie has.
Meh it wasnt Deadpool, he had the Scott's laser eyes and wolverine claws. He also doesn't look gruesome enough. They did do what they considered 'experimented' look, but come on, it was insulting.

First off, Suicide Squad was a good movie, but it's extended version was much better. Harley Quinn was originally created for that cartoon, NOT THE COMICS! Might I say it again? Hey Double Toasted if you want to know the truth I heard Tom Rothman who was head of Fox was the reason Deadpool had his mouth sewn shut in Wolverine Origins he couldn't stand Deadpool. As long as Rothman was head of Fox the Merc with the Mouth would never get a solo movie it was only when Rothman was fired & went to Sony was Fox finally able to deliver the goods to the fans. We got our Deadpool movie which was made with a 50 million dollar budget & made over 6 or 7 hundred million I can only imagine Rothman's reaction when Deadpool turned into a huge success. IF I was head of Fox & they wanted to do a Marvel movie on a character that no one was too familiar with but I wasn't too crazy about as long as they had a good script, cast the right people for the roles I would go ahead to green light that movie to be made.
I watched it and enjoyed it. But there was still more to be desired, I didn't laugh nearly as much as I hoped maybe like 3 to 5 times through the whole film. It doesn't deserve a full price. It's ok

There was a time where I had quit all the X-books entirely but I was still buying Deadpool because it managed to hold itself to the outside edge of the X-men sub universe with in the marvel universe and just be it's own book without having to be part of every melodramatic multi book crossover. Kinda amazing that this character started out as a Rob Liefeld creation seeing it where it is now.
The only thing I don't like about the Deadpool film is that it violated the biggest thing about Deadpool and the reason why I said a Deadpool movie would never work. Wade is supposed to be disgusting. His healing factor doesn't heal him "correctly" and so he's supposed to be a zombie for all intents and purposes. His flesh is often drawn with things living in it. So, I go into superhero (antihero in this case) movies without having that extra knowledge and go based off of whether I enjoyed it or not. I saw the clip where Deadpool's mouth was shut in X Men before seeing this version. And I can confidently say...he's way better here lol. Ryan Reynolds and everyone involved did great. Really enjoyed this movie.
They cut to that corner and there was just the two guys in chairs. Then they cut back about the food and...i guess the Asian guy with fast food finally came back with all the girls! LoL
I'd probably have to give it a 7/10 personally. A good amount of the jokes were pretty well done, but some bits felt like they could be tightened up a bit (in particular scenes like where they're describing what he looks like or the first time he goes to his house) and the middle of the movie felt like everything and nothing happened at the same time before reaching the end of the movie. It felt like the middle of the movie was rushed compared to the rest of it. But that's just me.
I was fine with the experiment not being weapon X in this movie, Weapon X happened back in the 70s/80s, so this movie would have had to take place back in that time and I don't think it would have worked as well if it did. There were changes from the comics, but nothing really noticeable, Loved the movie though. Can't wait for the sequel and to get this movie on blu ray.
The funny thing it wasn't even Weapon X that experimented on Deadpool, it was the Hospice underground and unregulated compared to Weapon X which was approved the by the Canadian government

you know... this movie should inspire all other Superhero movies to embrace their characters/source materials 100%, THIS is the MOST true to the character, plot, source material movie I've EVER seen, EVEN MARVEL held back... but this, this should totally inspire DC to make that "DARK KNIGHT RETURN" movie that we NEED, and not the crap "rises" that we don't deserve... and to MARVEL, an reminder to quickly introduce our arc-villain Thanos, by making an "R" rated Origin story of this messed up guy who was born messed up, and brought up wrong, and his descend to madness, that can only be told in an R rated movie; instead of trying to squeeze that in ending up distracting the main plot of Infinity War... we don't want origin story in Avengers movie, nor do we want to wast time trying to introduce multi plot/backstory... that's why Avenger1 was so good; each characters had 2-3 minutes of "recap" of their origin, and then... they go on with main plot/action! Avenger2 suffers just that, not only the new villain need origin, there were too many sub-plots, and character introduction! plus the set-ups for phase 3 is just TOTAL waste of time! WE REALLY NEED THAT THANOS MOVIE

I'd probably have to give it a 7/10 personally. A good amount of the jokes were pretty well done, but some bits felt like they could be tightened up a bit (in particular scenes like where they're describing what he looks like or the first time he goes to his house) and the middle of the movie felt like everything and nothing happened at the same time before reaching the end of the movie. It felt like the middle of the movie was rushed compared to the rest of it. But that's just me.
Question for those who've seen the movie: Does Mistress Death appear at any point?

I was fine with the experiment not being weapon X in this movie, Weapon X happened back in the 70s/80s, so this movie would have had to take place back in that time and I don't think it would have worked as well if it did. There were changes from the comics, but nothing really noticeable, Loved the movie though. Can't wait for the sequel and to get this movie on blu ray.
The funny thing it wasn't even Weapon X that experimented on Deadpool, it was the Hospice underground and unregulated compared to Weapon X which was approved the by the Canadian government

Deadpool is one of the most meta, violent, and crude characters that Marvel has- and I think this movie was PERFECT for it.

Ryan Reynolds 16 years of blunders and bombs, its been a long road for Ryan to finally have a big block buster movie its well earn.
But guys it is Meta'Meta'Meta by making the action sequence a finale on the helicarrier up in the sky- from Avengers!
you know... this movie should inspire all other Superhero movies to embrace their characters/source materials 100%, THIS is the MOST true to the character, plot, source material movie I've EVER seen, EVEN MARVEL held back... but this, this should totally inspire DC to make that "DARK KNIGHT RETURN" movie that we NEED, and not the crap "rises" that we don't deserve... and to MARVEL, an reminder to quickly introduce our arc-villain Thanos, by making an "R" rated Origin story of this messed up guy who was born messed up, and brought up wrong, and his descend to madness, that can only be told in an R rated movie; instead of trying to squeeze that in ending up distracting the main plot of Infinity War... we don't want origin story in Avengers movie, nor do we want to wast time trying to introduce multi plot/backstory... that's why Avenger1 was so good; each characters had 2-3 minutes of "recap" of their origin, and then... they go on with main plot/action! Avenger2 suffers just that, not only the new villain need origin, there were too many sub-plots, and character introduction! plus the set-ups for phase 3 is just TOTAL waste of time!
