Tanzania-Rwanda Tensions; We will not expel Tanzanians, says Rwanda

- Rwanda will not reciprocate Tanzania's action by expelling Tanzanian nationals from the country, according to the Rwandese High Commissioner to Uganda. Frank Mugambagye made the assurance during an interview with NTV on the sour relations between Rwanda and Tanzania. The rift between the two countries got to a new high after President Jakaya Kikwete called on Kigali to talk peace with Rwandan FDLR rebels based in Congo. Commentators say this bickering is a threat especially to regional integration.

Read between the lines! Those who sent back home were ILLEGAL migrants, the refugees were given chance to be Tanzanians few did most did not. The Geneva convention state clear all refugee can return home when their land or ask for naturalisation. Most of those refugees were Tuts, so the Tuts regime is in power now so they have to go home or chose to be Tanzanians. Tanzania is a country and not grazing yard. Basically if you follow procedure no one can send anyone Home.

You’re right, these Tutsis like fulanis are very intelligent nomadic pastoralists. They will try to find all sorts of clever ways to grab your land & claim it as theirs. First they start migrating there with their cows grazing. Then after they’re comfortable they’ll start claiming that they own the land. When you resist they attack you, it’s ridiculous.
As an african you are free to live wherever you want. Here in kenya we have rwandese and we will never deport them even if there is a disagreement between kenya and rwanda. What tanzania did was very stupid
