Just brought the 6D back home to Germany from Toronto Canada and I am really stunned with the color rendering. Made panorama shots from the Niagara Falls, which I still have to develop. But the results are very good at first glance. Reducing the light intake by 1 f leads to the most stunning pictures, right out of the camera. As mentioned before, L-glass is a must have for this camera setup and the 16-35 2.8 that I own, is phantastic. I also adapted a Leitz Sumicrom 2.0 50 mm to the 6 D and the results do shine, in landscapes and many other fields. Combine this with a Manfrotto 19CXPRO4 and you end up with a light weight setup that meets professional requirements even by today’s standards.
I only use the cross type auto focus point, which is nice, quick and sharp, all it needs to be.
Combine it with a 7D MK II and you have all the possibilities you need. Video does my Samsung S 24 Ultra, and that's it.
We should care less about the gear we take picture with and look more for the results of what we do. I bought the 6D with approx 12.000 actuations on the clock for 289,-€, which means, it is as new. Take into account that the R1 has 24 Megapixels, than what.

This was the first camera I bought when starting out professionally. Thank you for giving it some love even now =)

This camera is a low light beast, and probably the best DSLR sensor Canon has ever made. Also, I’d argue that 4fps is plenty fast enough for sports.

I’m not sure why everyone thinks this camera isn’t good for video - There’s a firmware hack that’s very popular in the canon filmmaking community called magic lantern that works on this camera, that allows you to shoot 10 or 14 bit RAW video, in higher resolutions than what it can shoot normally. I’ve seen many videos online where they use this camera and get great video out of it. Also the thing you said about 4K I completely disagree with. I shoot almost all my videos in 1080p 24, and upscale before I upload to YT, even though my camera can shoot 4K video! (I prefer it because of the less rolling shutter, and reduced file sizes)

I’ve never used Magic Lantern myself before but I’d be curious if there are any limitations with it. When it comes to upscaling 1080p to 4k I stray away from doing that since you’d have very little room to crop in if needed w/o it ruining the resolution

@@wilsonpeng_ Yeah, it really depends on what you’re doing. As I mostly do short films I never crop in, but content creators who film themselves might need the extra resolution.

I still use my 5dmk4 from time to time and I have a Canon R5 and a Leica Q2. Something about the DSLR look is really indescribable. I feel as if cameras now are TOO high quality

Still love my 6D. Was and still is a great camera. I have recently shot several events with it and, even in lower light, it produces very nice images. The rendering is lovely.
I agree, use of older EF lenses is certainly way more affordable that the RF equivalents.

6D is still great! The slightly smaller body is perfect for my hands. IQ is great, there's something special...

i just want a camera that can get me very accurate skin tone colors true to life or very close do you think this camera’s sensor can do that?

    It’s canon colours that’s are stunning on the 5Dc & 6D compared to my EOS R & R5

Agreed. My lineup was 5dc, 6d, 5dsr n r6. Sold the 5dsr and r6 as the sensors were bland in comparison
