Looks like two truckers from the same company judging by the same colour tractor and same type of trailer. No way that guy was making a turn (although im sure your joking) but my point is that I'd think that the city/police force would cover the damage to those trucks (which would likely just be cosemetic). @Kev Warriner idk if it was this way 13 yrs ago but i know a lot of truckers now own their trucks. Like, there are also some companies that require truckers to buy their own trucks before contracting with them. Also, probably makes it easier to get jobs at different conpanies. So maybe the only penalty they got is for a delayed delivery? Idk, just hoping for the best case scenario for these guys
@@GH-Rav O/O is an option, not a requirement for most companies. The only severe damage it could've caused would be to the air tanks or dents in the wheel, which would probably cost them 1500 to replace. Their insurance could pay for it, so don't worry to much about it.

Everyone who keeps saying that the trucker had no reason to interfere or now's he's fired because of the damage, I don't think you'd be saying that if you were in front of those trucks and they didn't stop that car. They prevented a larger accident from happening, they're good samaritans give them a break, we need more people like this is the world.

Nah... the truckers planned this. Probably the earlier trucks informed the later trucks via CB and they decided to set up that trap. It was completely intentional.
If he was driving a company truck, I would fire him immediately.
Sad part is, these guys could easily get fired for damaging the company's trucks. Imagine their boss screaming "It was none of your business to stop criminals, it is not in your job description, but you know what is in your job description? NOT CRASHING THE DAMN TRUCK"
Seriously doubt it. I'm friends with a very young trucker, and in our state, at least, as well as in my home state, all trucking companies tell their drivers that they're expected to cooperate with, and to help, the police in such incidences.
The trucks can be repaired, but the greater part of helping with such things as stopping vehicle thieves is that the trucks aren't that easily damaged, and they serve to protect the truckers themselves. Most trucking employers are proud of their drivers who are willing to help LEOs...unlike your rather negative and ugly view of such things.

Decades ago, I was driving from college to home, 300 miles away at night. I always drive just slightly above the speed limit. The roads were totally clear, until I saw a truck driver in the right-hand lane (I was in the middle). Just as I was nearing him, he, suddenly, swerved in my path! Startled, I slowed down (not enough to lock the brakes), and let him take the middle, totally baffled as to why he did that on the, otherwise, vacant road. With the truck doing about 50 mph, and me keeping my distance behind him at a slightly slower pace, about a mile up there was a cop in the median just beyond an overpass! That's when I realized that the trucker was trying to prevent me from getting a ticket! When we were well out of sight line from the cop, the truck moved back to the right lane, and I passed him, making sure to "thank" him by turning on my flashers! He flashed his headlights to say, "You're welcome!" Having said that, though, I have been involved with obnoxious truckers, though, fortunately, the "good" ones outnumber the bad nearly 4-to-1!
